On The Basis Of Sex (2019) fails to make its case
Armie Hammer may or may not be destined to answer the Batsignal, but never fear because he’s here to answer the virtue signal as the focus-stealing Martin Ginsburg, arguably the main character of a movie which sets out to repeatedly show him as the admirable, ahead-of-his-time supportive new man whose courageous struggle with testicular cancer and subsequent building of a lucrative tax career is told against the backdrop of the groundbreaking civil rights work of his wife....

I can't believe this movie has won so many awards. It was the longest 2+ hours of my life, sitting in the theater and watching this movie. The camera work was shoddy, and almost made me ill, at first I thought it was done to be artsy or something... But no. I wasn't quite sure how the two main characters managed to figure out they were interested in each other. I am also forever scarred by Elio American-Pie-ing an apricot. The only redeeming quality of this entire movie was the fact it took place in the 80s, so Armie Hammer was wearing short shorts.

Ok i am going to say i really enjoyed this western. I thought it had the right amout of action in this western.
A great story from the point of view Tonto (Johnny Depp) on how him and John Reid, the Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer) met.

Now the down fault of this movie is that it was under the Disney Flag. If they held off till they had another studio (FOX) and put it out under that studio flag it would have done better. Just seem to violent for a disney movie and alot of adult hummor. Now if they ever plan to remake it again under Disney i would tie in Thunder Mountain and less blood.

I was expecting so much from this film, but wow, it was eye-roll inducing. I love strange, off-kilter indies, and social satires, but this did not work for me at all. It was trying too hard.
Between seeing Tessa Thompson in this, and Annihilation earlier this year, I've come to the conclusion that Thompson can't really act (sorry, just my opinion).

Also, how much did they pay Armie Hammer? Or did they not? Did he do it for free to build more indie cred so he can get an Oscar eventually? The only reason I'm rating it a 3 is because I think that Lakeith Stanfield can act, and he was by far, the best out of the lot of them.

I'm so glad I didn't pay for the ticket myself.
