This book is PACKED full of step by step guides to drawing sooooo many cute things.

Great for kids old or young, with simple step by step pictures and easy to understand word descriptions, breaking down the steps needed to make a "bean" into a fox ... or a cat ... or a spider.

Definitely recommend for budding artists.

"Like artists of all stripes, I have attempted to analyze and justify my practice. The creative life, at its best, elucidates and thrives within pleasure, its absence, its expectation, and its promise. Bloom’s book isn’t a how-to on life, but rather a cold disciplined stare into the machinery of pleasure as it relates to human consciousness."

"I shot a film with Emilio recently and I have always been an admirer of both him and his father, as well as of their relationship. This book is a beautiful portrait of a father and son, both successful artists in their own rights, who have enjoyed a wonderfully close relationship over the many years of their respective careers."

"This is a huge movie for me. To me, Crumb is one of the greatest living artists. And the fact that this movie is also about family is great. I love movies that are honest about family. With the way he talks and the way the film was shot, Crumb is almost like an animated figure."

"Joseph Polisi is the President of the Juilliard School and one of the men I admire most. His beautiful book is a call to arms for all artists, and those who love the arts, to use their talents for the larger good of our culture, our communities, and our world. A must read for anyone in the arts."

Anytime Art: Crayon: A colorful guide to drawing with crayon for artists on the go! by Monika Forsberg is easy to follow and practical. This book is cute guide on crayon for artists but it can only be considered a beginner's level guide. This is perfect for someone who wants to learn how to draw. This book will teach you how to draw a few items; such as, cat, house, garden, shoes. The author gives step by step directions, which is necessary for someone just learning how to draw, in plain and simple language that is easy to understand.

I give this book 4.5/5 stars

I received this book from Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster and Walter Foster Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Rather silly and occasionally funny female take on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. 2 con artists try to out do each other before making a bet to see who the better con artist is. It's not as good as another female lead con artist film @Heartbreakers (2001)
So long as you don't expect too much you might enjoy it, but rather forgettable.

"There’s a reason this is one of Ingmar Bergman’s most cited works: it’s one of his best. A beautiful and unusually brisk road movie, this may be Bergman’s most accessible film, but what’s wrong with that? This is the kind of film artists spend their entire careers striving for. Bergman achieved it early on, and made many more classics as a result."

"Minimalist music" has its own largely rigid definition in modern classical music (a genre that Steve Reich, Philip Glass and La Monte Young have contributed to), but Cool Hunting has highlighted how contemporary artists are taking these compositional techniques and applying them in their own music across all genres—be it ambient, pop, folk or electronic.

What do you make of these reductionist albums?

Amid all the new tricks and twists of expensive recording studios brimming with expensive gear and excessive arrangements from eager producers, these reductionist albums speak out to Cool Hunting:

Good revenge thriller
An often overlooked film with an all star cast, about a tale of revenge. Mel has to deal with con artists, bent cops, organised crime bosses and Lucy Liu as a domanatrix to get revenge on those who double crossed him. Quite violent at times but a cracking film. You'll like it if you enjoyed A history of violence or Running scared.
