There's an old (well, now old) episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer where The Hush comes to town, and everyone loses the ability to speak.

I've no idea which came first - edit: Buffy episode did - but I strongly suspect it was the inspiration for this audio drama, where the Hush is a sentient weapon left over from the Time War between the Time Lords and the Daleks, is on board a pirate radio station just outside Liverpool in the 1960s, and is looking for a way to escape and propagate.

In-universe, this is presented as a recording of the what went on onboard the ship, with David Tennant's Doctor warning the listener NOT to listen to the end as otherwise the Hush might escape ...

The result in an OK story: it's not the worst Dr Who audio drama I've listened to, but nor is it the best.

Audio available in original Japanese, but also a magnificent English dub (3 more)
An excellent adaption of a brilliant book
The music. Oh my beating heart.
English dub specific: you CANNOT go wrong with Billy Crystal.
IMO: The very best of Studio Ghibli.
Such a delightful movie. Everything about it makes me happy, or content, or understanding of the world, or takes the edge off whatever is bothering me IRL.

This was a really cool adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. I love the dark twist (in opposition to the Disney, not the Grimm) Gaiman gives the story. I listened to the audio book and it was more of a story play than a regular reading of the story itself. All I can say was it was incredible. Great job Gaiman! I can't wait to see if you do something like this again!

My preferred eReader app
I was an early adopter of the Kindle and now use the Kindle App on my Android Tablet. Combining the eReader with Audible allows you to jump between an audio book and the written word with ease.

Also, just as an added benefit the text size adjustment is very intuitive and easy to resize on the go. Great for when you are changing between devices.

I really wanted to enjoy Spotify. Unfortunately, it's had poor sound quality on every device I've tried it on. I've tried all kinds of audio settings and it doesn't seem to work. Yes, it has a wide variety of music that I love but it's not worth it if it all sounds muddy.
