What the Hell?
Ok ok so it got nominated for a bunch of awards. Really though what on earth did I just watch it was depressing from start to finish.
Nothing moves forward, he doesn't overcome anything he starts as an alcoholic and finishes as one.
I seriously see absolutely no point in this!

Book Rating
Set primarily within one location (a house) over the course of one night, this book - for me,at least - is the very definition of a 2-star rating.

Basically a swords and sorcery whodunnit, this is never going to win any awards for either storytelling or originality: I found the denoument to be rather obvious, for instance.

Stress
This film has a nervous intensity from start to finish. Gambling addiction, gangsters, basketball pros, the Weekend, and Adam Sandler in a straight role. It's over two hours but didn't feel like it at all.

This is a crazy ride where addiction leads the way played by Sandler who has won awards in this role.

Scott Cooper has made another beautiful film with Hostiles. Due to its original release date being near Academy Awards time, I feel it got overshadowed by all of the talk of other Oscar nominated movies. Much like the Native Americans, it didn't get the recognition it deserved. Hostiles delivers a powerful story brought to life by a powerful cast.
