NBC's vastly popular Chicago-themed shows are being aired together every Wednesday night. The schedule will start with seeing how the Chicago Fire rescues someone in distress, then Chicago Med will deal with treating the victims of an accident, injury, illness, or violence, then Chicago PD will continue to resolve any crimes committed during the three-hour Chicago-themed block. They stated that the shows will be seamless in transition and that it will be like a 3-hour movie every week. Do you think this is a good or bad idea and which shows do you watch?

The Glass Slipper
Cinderella- With a wicked stepmother (Eleanor Audley) and two jealous stepsisters (Rhoda Williams, Lucille Bliss) who keep her enslaved and in rags, Cinderella (Ilene Woods) stands no chance of attending the royal ball. When her fairy godmother (Verna Felton) appears and magically transforms her reality into a dream come true, Cinderella enchants the handsome Prince Charming at the ball, but must face the wrath of her enraged stepmother and sisters when the spell wears off at midnight.

"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo", is my favorite song from this movie.

A classic animation film.

Spooky Scary Reaps
The Reaping- is a underrated horror jem, that not alot of people talk about.

The plot: Katherine Morrissey (Hilary Swank), a former Christian missionary, lost her faith after the tragic deaths of her family. Now she applies her expertise to debunking religious phenomena. When a series of biblical plagues overrun a small town, Katherine arrives to prove that a supernatural force is not behind the occurrences, but soon finds that science cannot explain what is happening. Instead, she must regain her faith to combat the evil that waits in a Louisiana swamp.

It might be bad movie from other critics, but to me its a underrated horror jem.

Dumb, but mildly entertaining
When the entire original cast of the thing you're adapting refuse to cameo because they disapprove of the direction the project is taking, maybe it's time to rethink things? The movie has some great stunts, no question, and Daisy Duke is as hot as ever, but that's not enough to save the film from bad writing or the casting of Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville. I never watched the show, it was before my time, but I'm pretty sure it's fans would disapprove of this film.

This movie had the potential to be exceptional, but fell a bit short for me. Unneeded use of profanity (I'm no prude, but it was generally completely not necessary and out of place altogether when used) took away from one of the first feature film performances in the storied career of Dennis Haysbert.

Unfortunately, around the time this film was introduced there were several different movies attempting to portray an East meets West narrative, and most of them whiffed, including Mr. Baseball.

I'm a huge baseball fan so I went into this with the predisposition in the positive. Too bad Selleck and Co. couldn't maintain that.

"Once Upon a Time in the West would come on the million-dollar movie. We had that once a week, I think, when everything was deployed on television. I had a [inaudible] television and I watched Once Upon a Time in the West, and I was blown away by the power in the stillness and silence of Charles Bronson as Harmonica, and I just thought the culmination of Morricone’s score with Leone’s gorgeous style, and then the showdown between Henry Fonda, who is outstanding as a bad guy, and Bronson was one of the most powerful moments I’ve ever experienced in cinema, and it really made a big impact."

Terrible acting. And I love both the main actors so it was very surprising. Its quite an interesting plot if it had been done correctly. I watched this movie a couple years ago and blocked it from my brain it was so bad. Then when it popped up on Disney+ I thought it was something new I hadn't seen. Boy was I wrong! Somehow worse the second time around. How the heck do plants choose who lives or dies? How did half of New York or wherever survive and the others didn't? Doesn't make sense.... The rating is a 2 because I liked the old ladies jump scare!

Predictable
Very Basic, but still Enjoyable Enough
You know, I actually enjoyed this film. Yes it’s predictable and doesn’t do anything that hasn’t been done before. AND it feels like a typical Liam Neeson film. Not to mention the one dimensional bad guys.

But I can’t help but love Liam Neeson. And I’m a sucker for those “older man helps kid” storylines. I find the film heartwarming and it somehow struck a cord with me. Plus it wasn’t too long so it didn’t feel like it dragged on. Not an amazing movie by any means, but I found myself fairly engaged.

Tragedy strikes Riley North (Jennifer Garner) when her husband and young daughter are gunned down in a drive-by shooting. The shooters were all part of a local gang ran by Diego Garcia (Juan Pablo Raba). Garcia thought Riley’s husband, Chris (Jeff Hephner), was part of a plot to steal money from him. Chris had actually turned down the job but it was too late and Garcia ordered his henchmen to make a statement out of killing Chris. Riley despite being shot in the heard and unconscious she was still able to identify the murders of her husband and her daughter Carly (Cailey Fleming). Thinking she would get justice she testified at a preliminary hearing. But to her surprise the defense lawyer said due to being her injuries that she didn’t really know what she saw. Shockingly the prosecutor did nothing to help her and the judge declared there was not enough evidence to proceed. Feeling cheated and everyone was working against her Riley disappears. On the five year anniversary of the murder of her family the three men responsible are found hanging from a Ferris wheel. When Detective Beltran (John Ortiz) and Detective Carmichael (John Gallagher Jr.) show up to the crime scene the immediately wonder could Riley North be back and exacting vengeance.

This vigilante action film is pretty much what you think it will be. There is blood and a lot of action. The acting is okay but not really the focal point of the film. But one thing that is not in doubt is the ending, don’t worry I won’t spoil it I don’t need to. With the somewhat recent success of films like Taken, John Wick and The Equalizer, and their sequels, this genre is not lacking in content. For me this dilutes the quality and original story telling of this type of film. The director, Pierre Morel (Taken, The Gunman), seems at home in this film type and does a decent job here. Jennifer Garner comes off as a bad ass and I enjoyed her in this film. The rest of the cast is good but pretty stereotypical of the genre also. This is not a bad movie just one I feel I have seen before. I will say I enjoyed all three of the movies I mentioned above and that should speak well to this movie. I just wanted a little more. It is also worth mentioning that in many of the scenes where Garner was exacting her revenge the audience was prone to laugh as a bad guy was getting a bullet to the head or a file cabinet dropped on their head. That makes it hard to take the movie too seriously.
If you are a vigilante movie fan this is definitely one to check out. The action is good and there is definitely a good amount of it. A little over the top with the blood for me but not too bad. It is nice to see Garner back in the action world and I hope this leads to more from her. I would say save your theater money for another movie and stream this one when it hits your favorite service.

The actors. The effects. The Korea scene. (0 more)
Not enough Black Panther. Not enough humor. Boring. (0 more)
I found myself many times during the movie wondering if there was ever going to be anything superhero-like in this superhero movie. I understand this is an origin story, but at some point, it needs to move along. It just dragged on too long. Could have been an hour long. There was also too much with the fighting that wasn't Panther. The girls were kicking more ass than Black Panther himself. It was ridiculous. Negatives aside, the acting was really good by everyone, with a great performance by Andy Serkis, of course. The Korea chase scene was fantastic. It's too bad there weren't more scenes like it. The battle scene at the end was very predictable. Bottom line is I did like it. I thought the story was well enough, but should have moved along at a better pace.
