Batman Begins
I wanted to wait until I had watched the series finale to do a full review of the whole show. I can honestly say that in my opinion this is tied with Game of Thrones for the greatest TV show ever made...telling the story of a pre Batman Gotham this show focuses on James Gordon's rise from GCPD detective to Captain and eventual police Commissioner. It also tracks Bruce Wayne's journey from young child who sees his parents gunned down to crime fighting vigilante...what makes this show so good is its attention to detail in the shows characters in particular the villains. We get versions of the classics like penguin, riddler & scarecrow but it's the inclusion of lesser known villains like professor pyg, Solomon grundy & azreal that means theres something for fans of the comics as well as casual viewers. There really aren't any bad series and also no really bad episodes. All the stuff with the mad hatter gets a little slow but that might just be coz I didnt like the character - but maybe that's the point as hes not supposed to be likeable!!!...it all builds to a crescendo in the last season where sometimes so TV shows fall down trying to tie a bow round everything. In Gotham the wait pays off and it the ending feels like watching for all those seasons has paid off...simply put this is not just for comic nerds, it is a quality TV programme the likes of which we may not see again for a while. WATCH THIS SHOW!!!

Steppenwolf is great!
Action was great
Story was good
Horrendous special effects. Cyborg looks terrible. (1 more)
Dialogue was iffy
Was surprised by this one. It's good!
I have to admit. Most time I avoid reviews of movies, because quite frankly, they may affect my feelings towards a film. However, I heard only bad things about Justice League & was totally going to skip it, considering what I did hear about it & my disappointment with the recent string of superhero films. So, when a friend of mine said it was actually good, I gave it a shot. I'm happy I did.

The film is very good. Not great, but when put up against Wonder Woman, Black Panther & Superman v Batman, it shines.

The chemistry between the actors is great. They really come across as a team, unlike the Avengers. The new guys are great! Flash is funny, as he should be. Aquaman is a badass, because if he wasn't, he'd be boring "Superfriends" Aquaman. And Cyborg, well...Cyborg let's just say, is a great character & acted well, but special effects that bring his body to life aren't so...special. He looks out of place, like a cartoon put against a real background. When he moves his head, it floats around on his neck. It's not just one time, but every time. And the end battle takes place in a CGI town that looks worse than the first season of Beast Wars:Transformers.

But I can overlook that, because besides the flaws, we got a fun film to watch. And stay after the credits. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastically written self-contained story with superb artwork
This short graphic novel sees Batman trying to peacefully put an end to his conflict with the Joker (safely behind bars - or is he?) before one of them ends up dead. Needless to say Joker escapes and puts in place his plan to show the beauty of madness. He wants to show that everyone would be happier if they just let their brain snap under extreme strain, and then you'll always see the funny side.
Some superb artwork throughout the book, both in the current story and flashbacks of Mr J's life.
I think fans of the Arkham video games will get a real buzz out of this, it is totally in line with the stories and settings used in the games.

Superman.

Batman.

Wonder Woman.

Green Arrow.

The Flash

The Elongated Man?

If, like me, you'd no idea who the latter character is - even though he has recently shown up in the DC TV series 'The Flash' - then this might seem a risky proposition. A few pages in, however, that decision pays off: unlike the 'big name' characters of DC (for whom you know nothing bad will ever really 'stick'), by making a relatively-minor character the initial focal point of the story, the tragedy that strikes (with the murder of his wife) really hits home.

That tragedy then being the reason why other members of the super-hero community start investigating her death, with it eventually coming to light that there is more going on here than meets the eye ...

Outstanding!
This falls just short of a true masterpiece. I felt there was no need to reference bruce wayne in the film at all or show the death of his parents as most avid fans will already know the deal but i can see why this may have been done for a new audience. There were a few things that I love about this movie...you show this to someone who has never heard or seen it and you could believe it was a film made 20 even 30 years ago. The other is that even if you don't like comic book movies, you could still enjoy this as a film about a struggling man in society. Saw it twice and was just as mesmerising the 2nd time.
