When you think of Moses (in film, that is), you probably think of Charlton heston in 'The 10 Commandments'.

Not a former-Batman in the lead role.

Yet that is exactly what this is, with Christian Bale taking on the lead role in a film that portrays Moses as more of a General than any other I have come across.

All the key elements of the story are here: Moses's heritage (NB, the film starts without him knowing such), his wanderings, the burning bush, the plagues of Egypt, the Passover, the parting of the Red Sea and the Ten Commandment, with the film going to great pains to, shall we say, 'muddy the waters' somewhat in just what is going on, with OT God being portrayed as a youngster and also only appearing to Moses after he hits his head and being invisible/inaudible to any others.

Which is a choice, to say the least.

Still, this is an enjoyable enough flick!

I really enjoyed reading this comic.

We get the Joker's origin story. He was in a robbery gone wrong and fell into acid because his wife and unborn child died in an electrical fire accident right before the robbery. He was poor, down on his luck, trying to get a job as a comic, and needed some money fast to keep them from losing their apartment. He started off by trying to do an honorable thing and it haunts him for the rest of his life. It is one of the reasons he has gone a bit loony, he cannot face the fact that he is alone in his grief.

We get the reason for Barbara Gordon's paralysis and her origin into becoming the Oracle. (Thanks Joker)

Detective Gordon is attacked by the Joker who is trying to show him how painful it is to lose something he loves. Joker wants to turn Gordon crazy, but doesn't.

Batman does not want his fight with the Joker to end in death, but it will if it has to.

Overall, I really enjoyed this comic and recommend it to anyone who likes the Joker and wants to know more about him.

I love the Joker's last joke, so I'm going to write it out.

Two guys are living in a lunatic asylum and one night they decide they do not like living in an any night they don't like living in an asylum anymore. They decide they're going to escape. So they get up onto the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see the roofs of the town, stretching away in the moonlight, stretching away to freedom. The first jumps across with no trouble. The second pauses, he is afraid of falling. The first calls back and says, "I'll turn on this flashlight I've got and you can walk across the beam." The second replies "What do you think I am, crazy? You'll turn the light off once I'm half way across."

I love that joke and the fact that both Batman and the Joker crack up after it.

A strong move in the right direction
A brighter and more humorous movie (compared to B v S which I also enjoyed) For me it did the job of putting a smile on my face throughout most of the movie. I still wish Green Lantern was properly in the mix but I know the Green Lantern Corps movie is upcoming. I've waited for this movie to be made since I was a kid and while it's a long way from perfect, it's fun to watch and watching Batman interactions with heroes new to the screen was always going to be exciting for me
The CGI was pretty poor in places and the story workman like, but like I said before I had a smile on my face a lot of the time. To me it was a good movie, just wish I could be writing that it was great. Hopefully we will still get to see the hero's in a movie truly worthy of their comic book counterparts

Poor Villains
Better than the last DC bomb
I went into this film with extremely low expectations, but I actually came out having enjoyed it more than Batman v Superman and I enjoyed it for what it was. Without a doubt though the worst part of the movie was the depiction of Joker and Harley and their relationship. Harley was simply there to be eye candy and deliver unfunny, cringey one liners and Joker was included for the sole reason of getting arses in seats, he is barely in the movie and when he is he brings nothing to it. You could honestly have cut his scenes out of the movie entirely and it would be almost the same film and the events would have unfolded just the same way. However the rest of the team are entertaining and work well together as an ensemble, the villains aren’t great but if you take this movie for what it is, it is quite enjoyable and certainly better than BVS.

Hey look! It's the ONLY reason that the DCCU still has a pulse!
She didn't murder thousands of people. She didn't do billions of dollars in property damage. She didn't try and murder another hero so because.
It's Wonder Woman! As in, it's a wonder that WB took THIS long to make a movie about one of DC's Trinity. And she was portrayed flawlessly. The only reason this didn't get 10/10 was the way the main villain paid off, which isn't great. Gal Gadot needs an Oscar. Also, there was no super feminism or lack of feminism; it was addressed and then back to the story. LIKE IT SHOULD BE WITH ALL COMIC MOVIES. We aren't paying $10+ a ticket to see a movie about political views! We came to see heroes be heroes! Good on you, WB. Now let's not have Aquaman suck...
