This game is so much fun to play. As long as you have an internet connection, you can play anywhere or anytime. The graphics are great and it really makes the monsters come to life. You can battle other players that you're friends with and send gifts back and forth. Hatching eggs and getting candy is so much easier with Adventure Sync and you get points for tasks done over a week. And to top it all off you can now take pictures with your pokemon!

The town of Celebration Bay puts on a spectacular Independence Day event with a reenactment of a Revolutionary War battle. Okay, so the battle never took place, but it’s still a fun event that locals and tourists alike love. However, this year, a murder takes place at the event, and the town’s event coordinator has to determine who killed the victim and even if the victim was the intended target before the town completely turns on the charming teen who appears to be the only suspect.

I love this small town and how the books always put me in the mood for the holiday that is being celebrated. The supporting players from pervious books aren’t a strong presence here, but the new characters definitely make up for that fact. I do wish one series regular would grow a bit more. The plot is strong with plenty of surprises and twists along the way.

The Current War is the true story of the race to give incandescent light to the people of America. After Thomas Edison patented the lightbulb, he gave a demonstration on how to light a 20-block radius using direct current. On the way home from securing funding from his benefactor JP Morgan in Washington, he spurned a dinner with George Westinghouse, a famous industrialist. That evening, Westinghouse came up with a plan to give electricity to cities around the country using the alternating current which unlike direct current can use power lines built above ground. Nikola Tesla also plays a part in the battle between Westinghouse and Edison as the pioneer of AC who worked for Edison to develop new ideas. The battle led to the formation of General Electric when Edison could no longer compete against the affordability and ingenuity of alternating current. The story is sort of interesting, but it does not really carry a feature film. The performances are okay, but the drama is not worthy of the talents. There is no flash of directorial skill just workmanship.
