On the second Sabbat of Twelfthmoon, in the city of Weep, a girl fell from the sky. Her skin was blue, her blood was red.
From the from the opening to the last page this story sucked me in and didn't let me go. Granted it was slow at times but the descriptions were so intoxicating. It could easily have been too poetic or too much but the author always seemed to toe the line just right. Recommended if you're in the mood for a dreamy romantic fantasy.

"'You're a storyteller. Dream up something wild and improbable,' she pleaded. 'Something beautiful and full of monsters.'
'Beautiful and full of monsters?'
'All the best stories are.'"

Feel Good
So I went into this movie only ever having seen the trailer before another movie and so I was expecting some action film about a bodyguard.... HOW WRONG WAS I!!
This film was beautiful, heart wrenching in places, down to earth and a complete joy to watch.
There is such a journey during this movie both physically and metaphorically, between the two main characters, and watching their relationship grow was humbling and beautiful.
So even though this was not what I was expecting I think it ended up being so much more and I would urge anyone who had even the slightest though of 'oh that looks interesting' to take the leap and watch it when you get a chance.

A unique and beautiful game
Sagrada is an abstract strategy game about laying colored dice to simulate building a stained glass window. No two dice of the same color can be next to eachother nor can any two dice of the same number. Players also receive a blueprint of sorts that further limits their choices. The result of thse restrictions is every player creating a unique "glass" mosaic of color from their translucent colored dice.
The rules are pretty simple, but there are a few options that can be taken in a turn and some strategy is involved if a person desires to completely fill in their window.

I greatly enjoyed the film. I thought that it was beautiful, charming, and entertaining. That being said, I do not think that it was a perfect film. I thought that the choices being made were interesting and had good direction but I felt some scenes lacked the emotion I wanted because they were too quick or short and some of the character decisions or adjustments from the book didn't work for me. I did think that the cast did an astounding job and the movie was truly beautiful and captivating.
