Fantastic story
Beautiful animation
Great music
Pretty much a perfect movie
This is a fantastic movie. I went into it full of expectation because of things I heard and it did not disappoint.

You become attached to each character thanks to the amazing acting as well as the stunning animation. The music adds so much emotion to every scene and it is just a beautiful story about a boy wanting to follow his dreams.

It stands among the best movies of the decade for me but I wouldn't want a sequel. It's best as its own thing and they should not try to replicate.

Everything from the colour, settings, sounds, acting all adds together to make something special and the ending had me tear up quite a lot.

The Wicked Deep
The Wicked Deep
Shea Ernshaw | 2018 | Paranormal, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Young Adult (YA)
This book was utterly beautiful. I don't normally think of books as being beautiful but the story that was spun in this book just tugged at those heart strings and made me both sad and happy.

The story of the three sisters coming back every summer for their revenge was so captivating. I had a feeling I knew where the story as headed and what was going to happen, but then you read it, and you just think...this is unreal.

Bo was a catalyst in a long string of events and everyone deserves their happy ending - but this one left me speechless - talk about a book hangover.

I just loved it too much for it's own good - 110% recommend.

Mermaids? not quite - sirens.. maybe .. my brain is still whirling

Makes you question life
Is fate entirely inexorable?
The Gold siblings, having gone to see a fortune teller who tells them the date they will each die attempt to A.) Forget, B.) Live life to the fullest beforw the inevitable or C.) Find a way to change it.

This book made me think, hard about what my life is leading up to. It made me wonder if that niggling fear of death and my attempts to avoid it were all in vain. It also gave me an appreciation for how I have lived my life thus far. This novel is beautiful and heart rending while somehow, in the end, giving hope that while we may just be along for the ride, life can be beautiful and worth the heartbreak.

Beautiful
I absolutely loved I Have Lost my Way by Gayle Forman. This was a beautifully written contemporary novel that I will be reading over and over again. The cover is simple and beautiful and once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. This is a heartbreaking story of three very different people who have lost their way in life in different ways. They meet very unexpectedly and at just the right moment to help each other when they need it most. The characters find hope in the darkness and help one another find their way again. I loved the end of the story, it was wrapped up wonderfully for me, not with a perfect pretty bow, but with a very real, relatable ending. I would definitely recommend this novel.
