"One of the most beautiful films ever made. It’s a French movie with almost no dialogue, and I remember watching it in school several times. The innocence and the imagination of the young protagonist are threatened by bullies and adults, but the relationship he forms with his balloon gives us marvelous insight into childhood. I love how the film explores universal themes that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages and backgrounds."

"I really love all of Bresson’s movies, but I’m picking this one because it was the first one I saw by him and one of the first VHS tapes I ever bought. I still own that tape. There’s this beautiful, tender, awkward quality to all of Bresson’s movies that I really love. You feel like the actors might forget their lines at any moment . . . but then they don’t, and it just feels so transcendently real . . ."

Almost
Disneys big budget blockbuster had so much potential. The rich mythology and beautiful historical setting could have been used more fully to create something more engaging. And although its Disney, malificent showed how adding some darkness can create a better movie. Also the feminist angle could have been explored more deeply and with more potential for awkward comedy. This was still an entertaining family movie but could have been so much more

Enjoyed this as much as Gabe aggravated me at times

I chuckled a few times, I cried a little, I willed them to stop being so stupid and just get together...and when they finally gave in, it was beautiful! But Gabe up to that point annoyed me a lot. I guess he had his reasons for being how he was, but he wasn't helping me like him any!

Nevertheless, I did enjoy reading this.

I'm at a loss. Once again, I've ridden this roller coaster we call Never Never and, once again, I feel hazy. Silas' and Charlie's story is so riveting and confusing and beautiful. Now that I've finished the second part to this trilogy, I'm struggling not to be completely impatient while waiting for the final piece to this odd story. Colleen and Tarryn make one freaking amazing team and they've blown me away, again!

Perfection
We get to see more of the eagle race. We get an amazing war scene. There will be rivers of tears flowing. And this is the end. When realization hits, it hits hard. No more lembas, dragons, beautiful elves, partying dwarves, and all the other races that you thought you didn't need in your life, but turned out that you did. And the ending of this movie adds more pain.

Just incredible.
I loved 1. 2 was ok. 3 is a stylized masterpiece in its genre. The story is off from the jump and never lets you go. The fight sequences are amazingly artistic and real. You feel the grit with each blow and bullet. So many incredible stunts and beautiful settings for each seem that not only compliment the action but take it to another level. Truly a great action film.
