It started with a secret is about how one secret can lead to several issues down the line but also something beautiful.

I love the style of writing, it flows between characters seamlessly and cleverly. The story is very feel good and the characters fit in well.

My only small criticism is around the title, I think the secret is a little underwhelming when it comes out. All issues are resolved fairly quickly.

Even though it seems impossible to know the final two Talk Talk albums and Mark Hollis’ solo album better than by listening to their murky, beautiful, sparse sound worlds, this series of first-hand accounts of the sessions —and those for Nilsson, Bob Marley and others—is incredibly illuminating."

"The Blue Nile are masters of the slow build, and Over The Hillside is a prime example. A lot of their songs make me cry, but this one in particular has this sense of hope and patience that becomes almost unbearably beautiful when Paul Buchanan sings, "Tomorrow I will be there / Just you wait and see." It almost sounds as if he's about to die and is singing to heaven...but heaven is a place on earth, after all."
