Engaging story
This may actually beat AC: Syndicate for my second favorite Assassin's Creed game, the first being AC: Brotherhood.

The visuals are beautiful, in both day and night.

As per usual, I'm far more interested in exploring the world and doing side quests than running through the main story, but when I do, I get sucked right in: I need to know what happens next... until I get the itch to go exploring again or another side quest catches my eye.

I like the inclusion of taming certain animals and having them be additional dps when fighting. It's really cool knowing that a huge lion has your back when you're taking out a group of bandits. Though I am disappointed that they don't seem to follow you into caves or are still waiting outside when you emerge from clearing out a bandit infestation.

I'm very impressed at the schedule of extra quests and events such as fighting various gods like Anubis and Sobek, as well as the upcoming history to lay out the groundwork for the brotherhood in an expansion next year.

All of these are going to keep me very entertained for quite a while.

Good story
This is the current movie I've been gushing about to my friends, it had a little bit of everything and did not fail to impress me.
Of course it helped that I was with a great packed-out theatre crowd. I live for moments when the whole theatre is applauding at a scene.
The pacing was great, I didn't feel as if I had been sitting at the theatre for an extended amount of time.
Great action moments, especially at the end, good high stakes drama, and comedy sprinkled throughout.
The visuals were beautiful

Now, all this being said, there were a few moments that kind of threw me. I don't want to explore these too much, as they are spoilers, but there was a time here and there that I felt myself mentally step back and question what was going on or if a scene or an action was really necessary.

All in all, I highly recommend this movie to all, Star Wars fans or not. This was a great bridge between the new trilogy and has me super excited for what's to come.

A fantastic experience
If you liked the game Limbo, you'll love this. Playdead, the company behind Limbo goes the same route with a side-scrolling, puzzled based platformer. But it's kicked up a notch with it's beautiful design. Just like Limbo, you play as a boy & that's all the info you're given. You run, hide, push things, and jump. Throughout the game, you come across mindless, zombie-like clones who you are able to control, who you'll need to solve the many puzzles. There are many puzzles, and some you may get stuck on for a while, but they're not hard enough that you'll quit or run to the internet to figure out.

I don't want to tell you anymore, as it's something you need to experience for yourself. The story gets real deep & builds to an exciting ending. Yes, the game is short, but you'll probably replay it, if only to find the hidden orbs. Play it, play it, play it. NOW!

A Whole New World
The combination of reality meets animation creates this beautiful masterpiece as you find yourself exploring a whole new world. Personally I don't think this film gets enough appreciation for just how much was put into this film and how much it holds up not only in the design but in the story itself. Although I'll agree with many that the whole film follows a very straightforward and predictable plotline that we've seen across the board from Pocahontas to Dances with Wolves this particular version offers a whole new realm of exploration around it as well as an interesting dynamic between the good and bad on both sides of the fight. Plus I find this movie is more focused on the curious new world and becoming apart of it ourselves as the audience, this plotline is merely one of the guides offered to present this world to us on the screen and my oh my what a world it was. Filled with beauty and diversity and unimaginable creations, this is a world anyone would love to see.

I am a complete blubbering mess after finishing this book. After so many times of having to walk away because I couldn't read through my tears.. I made it. WOW, was this story heartbreaking and breathtakingly beautiful. One of those stories that will stay with me forever..

So much love... more than anything else I can say about this book, so. much. love. A beautiful story about true soulmates, two people born for one another and strangers that become more than family.

Pepper never sugar coats it and this story was no different. Ripping my heart out yet again. But real life happens, the ups and downs, good and bad and I couldn't help but experience every emotion right along with them. "This is how humans are supposed to exist." So true, in so many ways in this incredible story about love, loss, and perseverance.

Beautifully written, as always. An absolute emotional rollercoaster for those that are brave enough. I couldn't possibly love this Duet more.

I LOVE Christmas! And I LOVE coloring books! What better way to celebrate the season than by coloring a Christmas book? Beginning on December 1 this devotion will carry you through Christmas to New Year's Eve. Each devotion is only one page long and the opposite page is a full picture to color in. The perfect way to relax and express creativity while keeping Christ at the focus of Christmas. Filled with beautiful pictures of angels, nativity scenes, stars, winter, scripture, and patterns. At the end of the book there are Family Activities. Verses and conversation starters and prayer, to discuss Christmas as a family and keep or sights on Jesus in the middle of a busy season. Extra coloring pages are included at the end of the book as well. A beautiful way to bring the story of Christmas into our daily routine. If you enjoy coloring books, this is the perfect one to begin your holidays.

I received a free copy of All is Bright from Tyndale Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Beautiful but pointless
I guess I expect a little more from Alfonso Cuarón, director of Gravity and Children of Men, than a slightly boring film about a year in the life of a Mexican family in the 1970s. The film focuses on the lives of an upper middle class couple, their kids and their maid as they go through the events of their daily lives and have a few unexpected things happen to them.

I guess it's kind of interesting as events unfold; however, I was kind of waiting for some meaning or point of which there was none. I would say normally I am not a huge fan of the "slice of life" sort of movie as they usually are devoid of point and this one was no exception.

The beautiful black and white cinematography and long takes make the film a technical marvel, but I wish there was more substance here.

Not sure why it is getting all the hype and attention other than because of its famous director. In a year, no one will remember this film.
