I barely got past the first episode. It was awful and felt like it was just trauma for the sake of shock and trauma. It did not feel like a horror show at all and considering what we BIPOC have been through and continue to deal with, this felt insulting and not thought provoking. The only good thing the show had going for it was beautiful visuals. You're better off avoiding Them altogether. It is not a good show, it's troubling, and it should not have been made.

Again, my complaint that Goodreads doesn't allow half-star ratings. Roomhate gets a 4.5/5 stars for me! I absolutely loved the story, from beginning to end. Who doesn't enjoy a relationship where love is forbidden and the sexual tension is thick enough to taste? The ending was beautiful - no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I wanted to immediately unread just so I could re-read it all over again and enjoy the pure sunshine it put into my soul. That's literally how happy the ending made me.
I liked 'Pulled'. I wish I could say more, but I really can't. The story itself was beautiful and truly heartbreaking, but I felt like it could have been written better. I had to know what happened between Daniel and Melanie, but I felt myself scrolling through most of the paragraphs. The dialogue felt rather repetitive, I kept seeing "I love you" and "Thank you" constantly. Despite these issues (which are truly my own hangups), I was a it invested in their love story and how things would work out.

Do you ever read a book that entices you to travel? Well this book is the second reason (after the food), I want to visit Greece. Specifically Zakynthos. The romance Isabelle creates in this book is so beautiful I just want a tint piece of it for myself. I'm a terrible romantic at heart and I can only dream of meeting someone so fantastic like Holly did. I've only read this book once but its stuck in my mind for a long time.
