THE BEAUTY AND HIS BEAST is a medieval-type story with the Beast being Everild, the current king's cousin, and someone who has seen enough war to last three lifetimes. His Beauty is Camdyn who was training to be a cleric when he was told he was to be married instead.
The connection is there immediately between our two MCs but Everild isn't just the beast. He wants Camdyn to be happy and is happy to waylay his fears in any way he can. They both grow and develop together, learning how to please the other in small but significant ways - a garden hat, for example - and their bond grows. Their relationship is beautiful. Simple as that.
Of course, not everything goes according to plan and there is a 'small' wrinkle in their plans. I won't say more because, you know, spoilers, but suffice it to say I loved every word.
This book had me with leaky eyes and laughing out loud. It was also the first by this author I have read, but I guarantee it won't be the last. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Beautiful sets and stunning visuals (1 more)
Songs taken straight from the original
Some of the songs seemed to drag on longer than necessary (1 more)
The acting ranges from over-the-top to dreadfully underwhelming
Doesn't quite live up to the original
Beauty and the Beast isn't, by any means, a bad movie. It's faithful to it's source material, while adding a new twist on some things. The problem is that it will never be as good as the original and it tries it's best to be better. At least it answered one of my questions from the original: why would a prince not be able to read?

Loved it
Well where to begin?
At first I thought this would be a generic rewrite of Beauty and the Beast- but, while it holds hints of the fairytale, it is completely it's own thing.
The characters seem extremely realistic to me, they have depth and interesting backstories. The descriptions of the areas within the story are so well written that I find myself picturing them easily and whisking I could be there.
I love the surprising twists and turns that the plot takes it isn't predictable and that makes me want to read more.
Overall I adore this book.

Being a lover of Disney movies, while this along with two other movies being my absolute favorite. Hearing they were gonna make another 'Beauty and the Beast' I was ecstatic I immediately went to theaters. I don't think I've ever payed so much attention to a movie in a long time. I usually watch a movie one, maybe two times but I have watched this to many times to count. I personally loved Emma Watson playing Belle I don't know of anyone who could fit the role better. I still don't like Gaston, but I love the movie just as much as I did the original!

Great cast (2 more)
Awesome racing scenes
Cool cinematography
If this were a beauty pageant we've just lost
This looked a class act just from the trailer and the full film doesn't disappoint. Based on the true story of how 2 men helped Ford design a Car to challenge the dominance of Ferrari. The chemistry between the Damon and Bale is great. The driving and race scenes look great, giving you the feel as if you are behind the wheel at times. It's a quality and all round well made film. If you liked @Rush (2013) check this out as it has a similar feel to it.

Stunning!
Been excited to see this one since I saw the trailer on YouTube. Cameron and Rodriguez bringing the comic to life got my nerdiness in a tizzy. And the movie didn't disappoint. The film is beautifully shot. The locations and characters feel real. Was able to watch the 3D version, which only added to the beauty and detail. The ending seemed a bit tacked on and rushed but overall this was a fun ride, led by the stunning title character whose eyes lock you in from the opening and never let you go. Would recommend.
