I grew up on the animated version of Beauty and the Beast. I was so excited to see the live version. I wasn’t disappointed, but I wish that Belle would have been someone else. Emma Watson is a great actress, but the singing wasn’t as good as the original. I liked all the other characters and their singing.

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie and this recreation certainly brought it justice. I also appreciated that we got more of a backstory as it answered questions I had from the first film like "Why does no one remember the prince is he was cursed not too long ago". The storytelling, visuals, and music were stunning and it is a must-see!
Despite her intension to leave Paris for America, Ophelia Flax finds herself going to the country estate of her soon to be ex-fiancée to join a hunting party. But a broken down coach brings strangers into the mix, and the next morning one of them is dead. The locals are blaming it on the legend of an ancient beast, but Ophelia thinks poison was involved. Can she figure out whose heart is beastly enough to be a killer?
This is such a great book! The author weaves in elements of “Beauty and the Beast” and plays with it as a real legend while presenting a puzzling mystery filled with real characters and viable suspects. Everything kept me guessing until the great climax, and the way this book leaves things, I hope we get more soon.
NOTE: I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Story development
Building upon what already exists
Everything I wanted!
As we have already seen with the likes of Disney's live actin remake of Cinderella etc. Beauty and the Beast recaptures the magic of the animated film we all know and love. However, it achieves greatness by building upon the already familiar story and filling in holes left by its predecessor. The film was fun, enchanting and emotional.

Beauty and the Beast 2020: a Lifetime/Law & Order: SVU/Pornhub production. Had to watch this because the Mrs. had heard it was good. What a waste of 2 hours of my life. The movie is everything we're supposed to hate about male/female relationships these days. And the acting, if you can call it that, makes Lifetime movies look Oscar worthy.
