Erika (17789 KP) rated Pocahontas (1995) in Movies
Feb 11, 2019
When this movie was announced, little kid me was pumped for it. I read everything I could on Pocahontas, I had the barbies, I had endlessly anticipated it.
I have only seen this movie once, in theaters when it came out. I was beyond disappointed. What the hell was that story? I'm still irritated at it all of these years later, and will never watch it ever again. Woof, this is one of those movies where it was so off in the source material, it was unforgivable.

Auburn (57 KP) rated Tell Me Three Things in Books
Apr 10, 2019
An adorable way to go about some pretty dark things. This book brings in; parental loss, drugs, bullying, and so much more while still feeling almost light.
The good in the book outshines all the bad. While it is a lengthy read there is a lot of side thoughts and discussions that most teens if not anyone would appreciate. The author tries to tackle so much that at points it gets a bit wordy.
Overall I really enjoyed the book, characters, and that ending was beyond perfect.

Lynne (18 KP) rated The Way To Love in Books
Jan 25, 2020
This book should be required reading for everyone on the planet. If you have ever wanted to curl up in a ball and die because someone you love is with someone else or you think something is going on and make up full length movies in your head on what you think is going on this is for you. If you think you can't be happy without someone else this is for you. It will wake you, so beautifully written and powerful beyond words. Life changing.
Erika (17789 KP) rated The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society in Books
Feb 1, 2020
I was really torn on what to rate this. I like historical fiction, but I normally stay away from anything WWII and beyond. I'm also not into sickly-sweet romance. It was an interesting juxtaposition between that and the events of Guernsey occupation during WWII. The characters were entertaining, but a little one-dimensional. I could tell you how it ended once the first letter came from Guernsey. If you want an easy, light read, and enjoy silly romance, this may be the book for you.
