I’ve never read a book with dark humour quite like this. It was brilliant. The jokes are definitely inappropriate, and that’s why I loved them so much. It’s unusual to get humour like this in YA so it was definitely worth it. The only bit of humour I wasn’t completely on board with were the sexual harassment jokes, but it did fit the theme of teenage fantasies so I’m not going to complain too much about that.

It is definitely written for the boy band generation, which I somehow sort of managed to avoid. I say ‘sort of’ because I’ve still gone through that phase of obsessing over a band. I just love the way it portrays crazy fan girls.

It could easily be One Direction fanfiction with how bizarre it is, but I’m not complaining about that! It just made it even more funny and painfully relatable.

I started this book expecting not to like it, and I finished loving it! I just wish it had a nicer cover!

Extremely Woeful, shockingly rubbish and boring!!
Just watched 'extremely wicked, shockingly evil and vile'...utter garbage. It's from Liz's perspective but is historically inaccurate and just completely boring. If you didnt know the story you would think Bundy was innocent until the end. They dont show any of the murders and it's just bizarre. You've got arguably one of the worlds sickest psychopaths, serial killers and necrophiles and dont even go into details of the murders let alone show them. It would be like titanic but not showing the sinking! Zac Efron is really good and in the court room scenes hes excellent but that's just copying previously recorded stuff. A real opportunity would have been to see Efron using his skills during the killings. Joe Berlinger is best known as a documentarian and I have loved his previous work but this felt like a cheaply done documentary reenactment and unfortunately shows his limitations. So disappointed and a total waste of Efron's talent and the subject matter.

This movie had so much expected of it, and for the most part, it delivered.

Huge surprise to see Thanos killed off so quickly, but that only served to put the audiences theories to bed and let everyone watch the rest of the film without knowing what was going to happen.

Lots of stuff to keep the fans happy & plenty of emotional moments, my only gripe was poor Hulk, who was underused throughout, even though ended up being the one who snapped everyone back. He seemed to be seen as an afterthought to the Stark Show and ended up in a comedy role, like the equally bizarre Fat Thor.

Overall, a satisfying ending to the Infinity storyline, with standout performances and a great ending.

ARC received from Netgalley

___ 3 Star Rating ___

Like the first part this was a very fast paced and action filled read, however, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first. Although the writing had improved, there were less errors and you were drawn further into the story, it just got way too complicated and messy for me.
It got to the point where I just thought that even the characters don't even know whose side they are on, they just swapped sides continuously, so many times I lost count and everything just started to confuse me. There were new characters being introduced all the time with bizarre names that within a page I had forgotten who they were.
All of those points are a shame as Chimera has great potential!
I thought the way every chapter ended was really good in the way that it held my attention and made me want to know what happens next.
I just hope the 3rd book will be less messy.

A Marmite film
If you have seen the trailer then you know this is going to be an artsy, bizarre film that's different from the mainstream films. It can be equally daft, silly one minute and shocking, disturbing the next. For either reason a few people walked out of the cinema after a while. It is gory at times and as it doesn't feel like a Horror film it can have more of an impact. There are lots of visual clues throughout the film and it does have depth to it. My main problem with it is despite being arsty the outcome as a whole was still quite predictable. It's a little overly long as well. It definitely has a Wicker Man meets Get Out vibe to it. Without being as good as either of those films. Overall a film some will love or hate, but either way it will stick with you after the credits. You'll definitely be talking about it for a while.

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now…private investigator. Sort of.
Needing someone he can trust, her father sends her undercover to Nocturne Falls to find out why employees at the Santa’s Workshop toy store are going missing.
Doing that requires getting to know the town, which leads to interesting encounters with a sexy vampire, an old flame, and an elevator that’s strictly off-limits. The more Jayne finds out, the more questions she has, but the answers lead her deeper into danger.
Will her magic save her? Or will she come up cold?

First of all I don't think I've read anything like this ever! I found it so bizarre at first I really couldn't get my head round Jack frost and uncle Kris 🤣. But once into it I loved it! I think Jayne is brilliant! The whole idea was so refreshing I definitely need to start the Nocturne series too!

Characterization is inconsistent
Matt LeBlanc's character should have been named Joey so you could headcanon him as the same character from Friends. (This is mostly a joke. Mostly.)
Tom Green
Inconsistent but fun
You watch a Charlie's Angels movie for one thing: hot women kicking ass. And so far as that goes, this movie mostly delivers even if some of the fight scenes don't look as good today as they should. But looking beyond that, there are some cracks in the facade - the characterization of the Angels, for instance, is that they're tough, confident professionals....who devolve to giggling schoolgirls at the prospect of meeting their boss? Feels awkward. The plot is straightforward, no complaints there, and most of the casting is on point with the exception of the bizarre addition of Tom Green's character. Overall, good fun despite it's flaws.
