I thought these book was great! I really enjoyed Sukey and her friendship with Vicky.
The description of the bloviatibg Jennifer in the beginning was really great stuff.
The mystery was pretty solid with a twist that you would have to be paying pretty close attention to get.
I really loved this book!

Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting for this wonderfully compassionate book for years and didn't even realize it.
So much obsession over Ripper mythology and so many people treat Mary Ann, Annie, Elizabeth, Catherine and Mary Jane like they were somehow deserving of their tragic fates.
I feel this book is a very important read.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Summer of '69 in Books
Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of Summer of 69 from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This book is terrifying. The draft sword hanging over Lucas' head is ever-present throughout the whole book.
His attempts to find joy before he's drafted are so well-written.
I will admit that the switch from first erson to third person threw me a bit but I really enjoyed this book.

This book was funny, poignant, and fiercely feminist.
What if you could go and ask the women of history for advice? Well, now you know! From Wallis to Pocahontas to Josephine questions about relationships are asked an answered.
This book was so much fun to read that my only complaint was that it didn't last longer!
