Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated White Stag (Permafrost, #1) in Books
Dec 30, 2019
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was incredible. The writing is at the same time lyrical and cinematic and absolutely breath-taking.
I was thouroughly invested in Janneke's love/hate relationship with Soren and how she dealt with the effects of her horrendous torture at the hands of a sadist.
Brilliant book.

That wonderfully lazy egg, Gudetama is back dispensing love advice for the Lost and lonely.
Cat problems? Juice problems? The good egg has you covered, y'know, after a nap.

Nicole Hadley (380 KP) rated Nickelodeon Pandemonium #1 in Books
Jun 18, 2018
Nickelodeon Pandemonium #1 by Eric Esquivel, Stefan Petrucha is a quirky comic that early teen readers will enjoy. This book was a quick and easy read. The book is full of puns, jokes, silliness and action. In this book the reader is given 12 different comics. Before the comic this is a short biography interview of some of the authors and illustrators. This book will be entertaining to readers to like comedy and graphic novels.
I give this book 4/5 stars.
I received this book from Papercutz via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this one because I do feel that it has some interesting, useful information.
However it contains blatant transphobia and I cannot in good conscience recommend it.

This concept was definitely a unique one, and this book had me laughing from start to finish. A couple times, I had to put it down as people were starting to give me funny looks. If you need a happy moment in your day, I definitely recommend reading this one.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Beyond a Reasonable Stout (Sloan Krause #3) in Books

Ellie Alexander has written another winner!
Sloan is a brewery who gets caught up in the stabbing of a man who wanted to initiate prohibition type laws.
I loved the characters and the info about brewing.
There's also a bit about Sloan's mysterious pass and the book ends on a cliffhanger.
Good stuff!

I have about 6 books in this series. I adore it. The update gives information about hackers and possibly murderous clowns in addition to getting away from a drone attack.
This book is a quick, easy read and packed with tidbits I hope I'll never end up using.

This is my first Agatha Raisin and I loved every bit of it.
The book is very funny and suspenseful and starts with a fake severed leg and a very angry donkey
(For some strange reason I originally put goat. I start I know the difference!)
