I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Knowing it was from Kirby's perspective helped me power through when I really REALLY wanted more from Cai and Harlen. I honestly can't wait for their books. Kirby is dealt a few surprises in here, especially considering he knows zip about dragons or their riders. I do wish Cai and Harlen had integrated him a bit more but I'm hoping the reason for this will be told in later books.
There is one character I absolutely loathe - as intended. In fact, I disliked him before I met him but once he was there in person, that dislike intensified. I really hope he has his comeuppance in future books!
Anyway, there is a bit of a twist near the end that broke my heart. I know it's only the first book but it can't stop there! And when is book 2 available because I don't know if my heart will cope with a long wait!!!
A brilliant story that I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend to all dragon lovers out there.

Debbiereadsbook (1735 KP) rated Reap This Three: Getting Back Mine (Oh So Happy Holidays #3) in Books
Dec 11, 2021
This is book 3 in the Oh Happy Holidays series, and you really MUST, I mean MUST read books one, Reap This, and book 2, Reap This Two before this one. Preferably, back-to-back. I had a big gap between book 3 and 3, and I think I lost a little bit of the experience by not reading all three together. And you won't get the massive cliff hanger after book 2, if you read them together, either!
Seamus wants Mine back. His coven discover a way to find Mine before he was the sceptre he is now. There follows a chase across time and space to get the two lovers back together.
And for the most part, I did enjoy this, I really did. I'm left felling . . .kinda . . bereft . . maybe? This is an ending, and Seamus IS happy, but I'm feeling there is more, you know?? I'm feeling (and ya'll know I'm all about my book feelings!) that there is more to come, and that Seamus and Mine really do get their very happy holiday. Again, I just can't see how that might happen!
I loved the trips back in time, and I loved that we learnt (learned? I can never get that one right!) more about Ian and Khnurn's relationship and just how much history they had. And I love love LOVED that Mine and Seamus had history too and that was a total surprise!
Mr Jadison has a way of pulling you in, keeping you fully engaged, and cutting you off just when you think you got the book sorted, you know?? So again, there were a few choice words, and the sky had a tinge of blue, just not quite as bad after reading Reap This Too!
So, thank you, yes, it was totally worth the wait, but are you really REALLY done with Seamus and Mine, huh?? Are you?? Are ya, huh, huh????
Cos I don't think so 🙂
4 slightly streaked blue stars

Quick fun read
Completed in one day
This was a nice take on an enemy to lovers scenario that had a few twists that broke your typical ya vibes.
I loved the fact there was no slut shamming and the lgbtq+ aspects that were brought in
I could really appreciate the mc coming to terms with trying to figure out what she wants in a relationship and to me this had good insight to what transitions people go through leaving high school and entering college.
As much as this was a romanced based book I kind of felt that the last two chapters were very flat and somewhat unnecessary.
I think if they had left the mcÂ’s as they were prior to the last two chapters I would have been a bit more satisfied.
I think if we could have seen the mc grow without the love interest would have made it a bit more unique
Or if the character development further progressed I may have thought differently about the two staying separate.
But this was still an amazing book on its own and I look forward to reading more in the series.

so pros. THis was definitely an intriguing read. although slightly predictable, it still sometimes left you guessing as to why something happened. that romance got me screaming, we stan an enemies to friends-in-a-situation to friends to lovers.
so yeah, i truly did enjoy this book, even though it doesnt look like it. it was a good read, and maybe i'll pick it up again? who knows.

Seth, the arrogant demon hunter, is dangerously close to knowing too much. If that prick gets anywhere near one of my demons, there will be Hell to pay. Unfortunately, he’s also the one teaching me shadow magic.
Secrets hide in the shadows. And some secrets should never be known. But I won’t stop looking for who killed my birth mother. If I must face trauma from my previous lives, so be it.
I have my lovers. I have my coven. But I still need answers.
I really enjoy Crystals approach to demons and angels, heaven and hell! Her character development is so good and she writes her sex scenes making you want more without it overpowering the story! This is the 3rd book and i flew through it! Her style has such a nice flow from one book to another!
I'm lookin forward to seeing where things go from here now the 4 are about to become 5 while contending with the witches hunting them!!
