TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Secret Beach Boyfriend (Merriweather Island #3) in Books
Feb 23, 2021
I loved Annie and Rafe, their chemistry was fun, engaging, and well laid out. Kari Trumbo covered some tough topics with them and integrated them in a compelling and straightforward way. From a dysfunctional family to OCD I enjoyed the dynamics of the characters and the interesting plot. A great addition to The Independence Island Series.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the creative characters, the emotional tugs, and for pointing the reader back to Christ.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Let's Misbehave (Summerhill, #3) in Books
Jan 8, 2021
I've been in a bit of a book slump lately and I kept starting books and then stopping because they weren't grabbing my attention. Then I started this, and though it was book 3 in the series I quickly caught up on it and fell into the story.
I liked it from the beginning, it was romance with a few naughty bits which is right up my street and I enjoyed reading Gigi and Merrick's story. They both became who they wanted to be and that bit at the end was really cute.
Yeah, I've been persuaded to carry on the series with Titania's story next, though I'm really wanting to read the one with Luca in :)

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2269 KP) rated Kilned at the Ceramic Shop in Books

Yes, the ceramics is what caught my eye here, although that’s not the official hook for the series. It reminded me of the few months I did some with my grandma and how much she enjoyed that hobby for decades. But that was where the good ended for me. The writing was poor throughout the book. The pacing was off with events substituting for investigation. And the characters were weak, although I did like them. There was definitely promise here, but the book needed a good edit. Others seemed to enjoy this book more than I did, but I won’t be moving forward with this series.

Merissa (12330 KP) rated Shadow's Dream (The Kyn Kronicles #5) in Books
Dec 16, 2018
This story is very well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. The characters and situations are fleshed out, giving you enough detail to relate (or hate). Once again, a full and intricate storyline, meticulously kept together by an amazing author.
I have no hesitation in recommending either this book, this series, or anything by this author. Absolutely wonderful.

Merissa (12330 KP) rated Finding You (Bewitching Women #3) in Books
Dec 17, 2018 (Updated Apr 12, 2023)
Of course, like I said, they both have issues, not least of which is an ex-wife from hell and a witchfinder. Lost family members, relationships, death, friendship - this book just doesn't slow down from the moment you open it up. There is always something happening and usually Becca has a quip to go with the occasion.
There are so many adjectives that go with this book and most of them are paradoxical to each other - hot, sweet, contemporary, paranormal, friendship, romance, deceit, betrayal. It's all here.
This is very well-written with wonderful characters that leap from the page, including a brief cameo from old friends.
Definitely recommended! and I'm hoping for more to come in this series because I thoroughly enjoy it!
