While this book had some certain tropes in it (hello love triangle) - and it definitely would have some trigger warnings, a few times I was shocked at what I read, not necessarily in a bad way - but some people may actually have issues with this book if they're super sensitive.

the whole suicide epidemic was quite an interesting story to read (granted that right there should trigger people - hey don't read this book) - the whole lobotomy after getting into the program was intense too - though wickedly fun to read about.

i'm very very curious to see where this series goes.....luckily I checked them all out from the library!

The attraction between Pim and Elder continues to grow and spiral.

In this book we learn a lot more about Elder which is just fantastic, however that comes with a price and that is the ending to this book. There was nothing wrong with it apart from it was not what I wanted to happen.

It is interesting to see Pim and Elder continue to fight with themselves as they try to decide what they want, how far they will go to get it, and ultimately what they are willing to sacrifice.

I am still loving this series and have already started book 4.

fab read
This is the second part in this set but the seventh part in this series by this authjor. These books need to be read in order to fully understand the story between the characters. This book is full of twists and turns, surprises, drama, lies, betrayal and loads of suspense. amazing well written characters just like the first book. This is a short read but the author has packed a lot into the pages. I can't wait to read more in this set and by this author in the future.

Highly recommended set

Like the previous book in the series, this was OK, but not a particularly memorable book. Apart from the hero and heroine and Ata, most of the supporting cast are pretty underdeveloped. I don't feel the urge to pick up the next Widow's Club book because I don't know enough about the other characters to have the urge to read their story! The only one given some development is Grace, who to be honest comes over as a bit too perfect!

It seemed a bit too strung out - hero and heroine obviously love each other - will they just get on with it?!

Not one to keep, but not a bad read.

I didn't know anything about this series before I borrowed the first book from the library. I thought it was probably going to be pretty juvenile, and that I'd return it right away. However, I'm pleasantly surprised. While it is about children, the book is rated for older teens. It's funny, innocent, and cute, and then it quickly starts going in different directions that make it a bit dark, frustrating, a little creepy. The only real negative opinion that I have about it is that it seems to have a bit of a repetitive nature towards this volume's end. I'm looking forward to moving onto book two, though!

I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved Nancy Drew Mysteries since I was 8. I've had to have read over 200 of the various series.

This book is a wonderful tribute to the character of Nancy and Carolyn, the pen name for the books.

The book spans almost a hundred years and goes into the life of Edward Stratemeyer and have s family and the ghostwriter Mildred.

I'm sure there will be some folks disappointed that this isn't Nancypalooza straight out the gate but it certainly is a cracking good piece of historical fiction.

Tooany point if views
I bought this book after watching the T.V. series. This was probably a mistake. The character of Anna is spot on, as is Mouse and Mary Ann, but there are soany point of views that I was regularly getting lost. The book is dated, understandable as it is 30 years old but I didn't enjoy the storylines with the wealthy families. It was slow in the middle but was wrapped up well. I guess there wasn't enough hooks or tension throughout. In saying that, I will probably buy book two out of curiosity.
