Forget Cowboys Vs. Aliens, this is Cowboys Vs. Zombies and it's much more fun.
It had a bit of everything I like in a book: romance, adventure, cowboys...and I kinda like zombie books, too (though they have to have a bit of romance in them as well). It didn't shirk on the horror details either with some rather creepy scenes involving one family.
I really liked Trace/Cowboy and Elisabeth/Red. They were both really great characters and I have to say that Cowboy seemed like the ideal guy to meet in a wild west zombie apocalypse. As for Red, she was pretty kick-arse. The secondary characters were cool too.
I'm very intrigued as to what will happen next in the series and can't wait to read the second book in the series.

Witty
Gives a positive message
Love this book. I now know it off by heart, as it is one off our favourite.
This was the point I realised that kids books today are soooooo much better than the ones I grew up with.
This book is sweet, clever, and tells a positive story (as do all in the series) about being given brave.
The art is lovely to look at and it is a quick amd easy read for those evenings you are jut not up for a novel or ssome lovely but complex Dr Seuss nonsense.
This is, in my opinion, the best of the series, but each one is warm and delightful, with this one subverting expectations and is a great bedtime read for small children.

I enjoyed this book. It was nice to challenge the stereotypes of how girls should look. It also goes to show that curvy can be fancied and can get the guy. It also shows what society is like to those girls when they get what other girls want.
I was instantly hooked and wanted to continue reading when I could. There were 2 sides to the book as well so it didn't focus on one thing and I got to know more about each character and their past.
The book was written well and kept me intrigued.
I connected with the characters. Some I felt sorry for and some I felt disgusted because of their actions.
I think the story is aimed at mid-teens to late twenties. It is a feel good book and aimed at people who want a confidence book or just a laugh.
After reading the blurb I'm glad I decided to read the book and will definitely read the second book in the series.

Once again, I am not disappointed with this, the final book in the series featuring the unconventional DCI Hanlon.
I have now read all 4 books in this series and have enjoyed each and every one of them. I rarely say this about a series but I really do think you need to have read at least the first one (The Stolen Child) if you want to understand the main characters in the book; if you don't, I really think you will be flailing a little with the relationships they have and their motivations and this will, I think, detract from the overall story.
Hanlon is a very strong female character and one tough cookie. I admit that she is quite difficult to like but she has definitely grown on me over the series. In this, we see the odd glimpse of the softer side to Hanlon which makes her more "human" but don't let these snippets fool you - she will stop at nothing and nothing will stand in her way.
With a cast of excellent characters wrapped up in an intriguing plot, lots of action, tension and violent scenes, this is a great story well written which is gripping and exciting and makes it difficult to stop reading.
Highly recommended series and my thanks go to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

Another great book from Dianna Hardy!!
The Eye of The Storm series and The Witching Pen series are both connected in this novel - you don’t have to have read them though, in order to understand what’s going on in this series. I’d recommend them anyway, just because they’re really good!!
Claire and Pete take Jasmine to the US to avoid the dangers of those who would do her harm in the U.K. To all intents and purposes, Claire and Pete ARE Jasmine’s parents, even though she is actually the daughter of Claire’s best friend, Beth, and her lover, Amil, a Trident (think: evil, genetically engineered werewolf on bad drugs - although he wasn’t really evil). They want to protect her, but it becomes increasingly difficult. Her true self, even though she’s only six years old, is beginning to be revealed due to a Supermoon. And it’s not what you think!
I love this series - I love all of Dianna Hardy’s writing. Not only is it well written, the relationships feel ‘real’, and there’s loads of real emotion and excitement (lots of ‘heart in mouth’ moments!). I do love a bit of paranormal/ urban fantasy, and this ticks all the boxes.
I can’t wait to see where this story goes in the next book!

I loved the Matefinder set and I loved this book! We are now following the next generation. I loved the switch in this it brought something different to the story. It had me glued from start to finish. Loved catching up with the characters from the Matefinder series too. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Really Interesting!
I usually dislike novellas, but this one was interesting in that it gives you a backstory about Levana and why she is the person she is in the Lunar Chronicles. Although I don't care for her character, and found this book to be a little boring in some parts, it was really insightful! I wouldn't say it is a crucial book within the Lunar Chronicles - you could read the series without it.
