I love the Bluegrass series and was very happy to read that there was more to come in the shape of the Bluegrass Brothers. This is a set of books set in a small town where everybody knows everybody and some know things that no one else knows how they know! Still with me? This book carries on with the LOL moments and the suspense in this book is in the form of the drugs ring that the DEA is trying to break.

The ending was fairly obvious but I wasn't reading it for the suspense side of things so this wasn't a problem for me. If you are looking for a light read, filled with humour, feel-good moments and spice thrown in there too, then give the Bluegrass/Bluegrass Brothers series a go. Recommended.

The fifth book in the New York Times bestselling Expanse series. NOW A MAJOR TV SERIES FROM NETFLIX...

Huh...well I enjoyed the first book in the series more, it had a more compelling storyline for me (4.5 star worthy!). This, I kinda had to read to see if Katya got her HEA after the events of the last book but it all got a little twisted for me.

There was so much sex in this compared to the last and for me, and I think for the story too, it was unnecessary. Everyone was with everyone (or it seemed like it anyway).

I was only really interested in the relationship between Ezra and Katya (and Cortez, I guess, though not as desperately as the first two) and a lot more than that happened. Weddings, fights, sex...

If this is the sort of thing that's going to continue throughout the rest of the series, then I'm not sure I'm interested.

Without Jethro there as back up in the story, I wanted Nila to be proper kick arse and she was for a good portion of the book but in the end she proved breakable. I totally understood it, though. The Hawk family--well three of them: Cut, Daniel and Bonnie--are just plain psycho. I cannot wait for them to get their comeuppance, which will finally (hopefully) happen in the 6th and final book of this series. The fact I have to wait another 3 months, until some point in November, may drive me a little mad. BECAUSE I REALLY NEED TO KNOW IF JETHRO AND NILA AND EVERYONE ELSE ARE GOING TO MANAGE TO PULL THIS OFF!!!!

If this series doesn't end with a HEA (and all secondary characters I've grown to love--mainly Kestrel--surviving) I'm going to cry!

Hooked from start to finish

Lyla Oweds has managed to hook me with this rewriting of her series The Grimm Cases. I'm loving Bianca's character, she's an awesome mix of contradictions and so lovely at the same time. It was a pleasure starting to get to know Bianca and learning about who she is, what she's capable of and seeing her slowing begin blossom into her true self. Having to wait for book two is the second hardest thing for me.....after reaching the end of this one!!

I'm so happy I was given the opportunity to review this and I can't wait to get my mitts on the next book in the series! So many things are still to come to light for Bianca and for her new friends. Intriguing and gripping from the first page, love it!

This short story takes a leap back in time to when I'rone was but a boy and not yet married to either Betreec or Jasmine. It is a short story but still manages to provide an interesting addition to the series and tells you how Betreec and I'rone came to be (also Jasmine but that only becomes clearer later on). Something happens in this story that becomes a point of interest in the following books so it is definitely worth reading if you are going to read the series.

Short but packed full of relevant information. A definite bonus to read.
