TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Beholden (The Fairest Maiden #1) in Books
Feb 23, 2021
Well, I really do, especially clean, romantic, mentality stimulating, and engaging ones. Beholden hits all the right notes for me. The quote I shared above sums up and yet barely scratches the surface of the emotions and actions of the characters of this book. Vilmar and Gabrilella have such care for each other and the others around them, they are tested and grow visibly as characters throughout the book. I was sad to see the story end. You have no idea how much. But I am hoping the next book in the series keeps giving my glimpses of these two wonderful characters! And lets not even start on this amazing cover!
I could rave about this book all day, but Id rather you read it to! 5 out of 5 stars for this beautiful retelling of Cinderella’s Story.
TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Taking Chances (The Chances Series Book 2) in Books
Feb 23, 2021
Andrew and Pietra (Which is a cool name, but I had to look up how to say it!) is a classic unrequired love/friends to lovers’ type storyline that was engaging, heartfelt, and had some deep thought stirring moments. I enjoyed their banter back and forth, Andrews's culture was fascinating, and I truly loved Pietra’s patience with Andrew through everything. It was a good culturally diverse book that kept me interested and I did not put it down until I finished!

I give this book a 5 star rating for the many adventures, the depth of the characters, and for making me feel as though I was right there experiencing all of it first hand. Can not wait to read the next one in this series !!

Merissa (11961 KP) rated Dark Night (The Amulet #2) in Books
Apr 14, 2023
This is a novella so therefore it moves along at an incredible pace - everything happens within the space of a few short hours. There is attraction, flirtations, humour, and the threat of violence - all within a few pages.
If you are on the lookout for a hot, coffee-break book, then I can highly recommend this book and The Amulet Series as a whole.
