This is the third novella in this series. This book brings everything together. This book picks up right where "Hidden fate" finishes. These three book all have strong characters, lots of suspense and some steamy romance. I really enjoyed the characters interaction in this book, again amazingly written characters. I can't wait to read more from this author and in this series in the future.

An extremely good book. It is rare that I find a book that I just can't put down, this book is one of those. It is a cross between steampunk, classic literature, and X-Men. This is the first book in a series there is also a prequel about Finley before the events of this book! If the rest of this series is a good as this one then I will devour the rest in no time.

Confusing if you haven't read the mortal instruments series. (0 more)
I love this book. It it's fast paced, entertaining, and has great characters. Cassandra Clare's writing gets better with each consecutive novel. However, I would definitely recommend reading at least the first book in the Mortal Instruments series first otherwise the world the book is set in may be confusing.

I am an avid fan of the Alfred Boy King series. This is the third book in the series, and I am excitedly waiting for book 4. This book is filled with adventure, magic, creatures, and bravery. The main character Alfred is a sweet and curious boy who makes for a charming and sympathetic character to follow on his exciting journeys.

"If I had to pick one book, one example of what I love, it would be this book. I enrolled in a lecture series called “How the West Was Written” and started with Willa Cather and ended with Joan Didion. In the middle of the series we read Stegner. It is as great a book as you will ever read."

Series started well, I was hooked and sped through to book 2. I started slowing towards the end of book 2 and never regained the pace during book 3. Was very involved and detailed on the tactics and training and then the actual battle was one or 2 chapters? This is the end of the road for me with this series.

Great book
Great book and so worth reading. I only have it a 9 because as the series continues the writing gets so much more refined.
