This is the first book by this author that I've read and what a good read. This is the first book in this series and can be read as a stand alone read. The attraction between the characters is perfectly written. The added dark secret in the plot just adds to the story. The love story between the characters feels real and honest. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

I created a video explaining my slow decent into hating this series, book by book, for your viewing pleasure:

This one is better than the last one, but considering I'm comparing this to other books in this series and not saying it's all around 'good' or 'ok' should imply something to you. At least this one was faster paced, but the sentences in this one blinded my English professor so...

It's funny, even though there only one more book, I only see darkness at the end of the tunnel.

Individual characters and strong female lead! (0 more)
Amazing first book in the series!
The guys are all so individual and amazing. Completely different from any characters in any other book I've read. Laurel has created this fabulous alternate reality that I could only wish to be a part of. Carlyle is this beautiful strong female lead and you can really tell Laurel loves her character as you read the story. This book sets the tone for the whole series and if you've read the other books, you will know she just keeps up the standard the whole way through.

I got this as a Christmas present from my mum last christmas, and have just got round to reading it. Usually I read the book before watching the movie/ tv series, but this time it was the movie and series which made me get the book.
I really enjoyed the story and found it quite easy reading, with easy to connect with characters. Cassandra Clare has created a world which I was happy to get a glimpse inside of and I can't wait to get the second book to continue the adventure with Clary and Jace.

I will quickly write this review because I cannot wait to start on the next book. It does not seize to amaze me just how wonderful this series is and how much the characters continue to grow. I truly love the storyline that Patricia Proctor continues to weave and highly recommend this series to everyone young and old.

Great Read
I quite enjoy this comic book series. Although it is written for an audience of teenagers, I seem to like it. The illustrations are amazing and the characters are fun. I would not mind cosplaying Amy in the future. The remake of this comic series is also amazing. (Part of the new 52)

When Hannah finds her delivery man dead behind her cookie shop, she winds up investigating to find the killer, and a favorite series was born. The paperback now includes a bonus novella. A strong start to a popular series.

This one kind of bored me a little bit in comparison to the others. Less will they won't they, more war which is not really my thing but a great, well written book nonetheless.

I've decided I'm going to re-read this series after noticing a 0.5, 2.5 and 3.5 have been added to the series. I can't wait!
