ZERO CHANCE is the fifth book in The Seven series, and it's the turn of incorrigible flirt, Keene. We got a glimpse of him and Waverley at the end of Just This Once (Parker and Hope's story), and this carries on from there. I would absolutely recommend you read the prior books in this series, simply because they are all outstanding!
Anyway, Waverley is Library Girl, invisible to most, but unfortunately, not to Xander, who insists on befriending Waverley. I loved Xander for that, as she was just what Waverley needed, even when she didn't think so. Waverley was also not invisible to Keene, even when she wanted to be. Nope, instead, he would irritate and aggravate her at every turn, but what he wouldn't do was flirt with her. Even though he flirted with anything that moved! So when Waverley seizes the day to find out what the fuss is all about, the game is on.
I loved every moment of this book. Waverley has had a sh!tty life up until now. From r@pe at a very young age, to a su!cide attempt, to an overbearing mother and a standoffish father, it all sucks. The thing I loved about this, though, was that everything had a reason. Her parents weren't helicopter parents for no reason, and Waverley understood that, even if it annoyed her.
And Keene, oh, man. This dude about killed me. He has been the loud flirt all the way through the series, and finally seeing what makes him tick was wonderful. He is absolutely the right person for Waverley, the same as she is for him. These two perfectly complement each other, which means they can both deal with the darkness better.
I will give a Kleenex warning, though! As with most books in this series, if not all of them so far, I ended up with leaking eyes. This is a good thing as it means I've connected with the characters. But it's also a bad thing, as it means I have to stop reading to stop the blurring.
So, so good. I loved every word and can't wait for Thane's book. I'll give Xander and Alec some space as I know she still needs some time. But Thane! Come on!!
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and the series. Love it!

A PRISONER OF VERSAILLES is an improvement over the first in the series, [b:In the Shadow of the Sun King|4484156|In the Shadow of the Sun King (Darkness to Light, #1)|Golden Keyes Parsons|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266758461s/4484156.jpg|4753411], but still only an okay read. Readers who are interested in the series would benefit from reading the previous entry beforehand, as this does not standalone.
I don't generally read Christian fiction and would not have gotten this had I known ahead of time that it was an Inspirational novel (and the second in a series besides). Since that is partly my fault, I still decided to give it a fair chance and see if the basic plot could overcome my worries. Sadly, it didn't, but not necessarily because of the religious usages, which could be over-the-top at times, but mainly due to a plot that's rather unoriginal and uninspiring.
I did find myself enjoying the first half of the book, but then my interest started dwindling as the story lost my attention. Unfortunately, the main character, Madeleine, still isn't fleshed out enough for me to care what happens to her, but unlike the first book, there were a few characters who were better drawn out: Pierre, Philippe, and Robert. However, since Madeleine is supposed to be someone who readers should care and root for, this is a big downfall for the story.
All in all, the book is better written, the story flows better, and the characters have improved since the last novel, but I seriously doubt I'll look for the conclusion to the series. 2.5 stars

One of my favorite legal suspense authors is Rachel Dylan. Her writing style is genuine and unique and her characters always come to life for me as I read her books. I had the pleasure of reading books 1 and 2 in this amazing series, and now, I've had the delight to read book 3. It was so refreshing going back to Atlanta and feeling like the story was written just for me.
I loved getting to see Mia and Noah's story unfold. Their pain, their struggles, the twists and turns of the plot, all jumped off the pages and captured me completely. Noah's character was absolutely my favorite, and I fell in love with him so hard in this story! Mia's character was incredibly luck to have him protecting her!
Ms. Dylan's talent for intricately weaving a legal thriller into an unforgettable read is amazing. She does a fantabulous job at research, and blending it with her awesome messages of hope, love, forgiveness and mercy.
This is the third book in her ATLANTA JUSTICE series. I highly recommend it be read in the series, and not as a stand alone. The full effect of this author's talent and her amazing characters that become family is best felt reading the books in the entire series. Ms. Dylan has once again created a phenomenally amazing, heart-pounding story of edge-of-your-seat suspense. Definitely giving this one a high 4 star rating and two thumbs up.

THE RANCH HAND AND THE SINGLE DAD is the third book in the Farthingdale Ranch series, and I would recommend you read them as a series simply because of how wonderful these stories are.
Austin has been put through the wringer by his delight of an ex-wife, and he has to cope with not having full custody of his daughter. He is unsure of who he is or what he wants, but he finds peace at Farthingdale Ranch due to his friendship with Clay.
Clay thinks that one-night stands are all he needs and doesn't always say what he wants. With the help and encouragement of Austin, Clay realises that life could be so much more than just a hookup.
This was a brilliant low-angst read with a slow-burn romance that filled me to the brim with warm fuzzies. I loved seeing the previous couples and seeing how their romances were going whilst still enjoying the spotlight on the main pair. And, of course, using recycled wisdom is some of the best advice you can give or receive!
A fantastic addition to the series, I would still recommend you read this as a series to ensure you don't miss out on any of the previous couples. For now, though, I can highly recommend Austin and Clay's story.

Okay, so this book has the capability to break me! Coliseum Arcanist is the third book in the Frith Chronicles and we return once more to Volke, Illia, and the rest.
Gille is working hard to find a cure for the plague and is accompanied by the Frith Guild to see the queen. Only, they get more excitement than they bargained for when they find out there will be a tournament for a new sovereign dragon arcanist. Illia is still dead set on revenge on Calisto but the others are excited to participate.
Wow, so much happens here! This is a long book but not a single word is wasted. So many new characters to meet and old ones to reacquaint with. Volke is, of course, the star of the show but he doesn't hog all the limelight. Through his eyes, you see the others and how they change and grow. Zaxis is still obnoxious but I'm also hoping he will calm down and become a better man. He is still young after all.
The ending of this book, the last few chapters, are absolutely action-packed. There is never a dull moment and I will admit to my eyes leaking too. I had a suspicion about the outcome of the last match when I read the description given in Volke's book but how it was written was just amazing. The rest of it came as a surprise and I couldn't read fast enough to find out what happened next.
With a cliffhanger you have to read to believe, I seriously can NOT wait for the next book in the series. You definitely have to read all of them in order to get the full experience but what an experience it is. I really can't recommend this series, or this book, highly enough.

Great Read
Whether you are a young adult, or just young at heart, you are bound to love "Marella." I'm still not sure what I enjoyed most about this novel. In the beginning, I was impressed with the author's detailed and flavorful world building as she draws us into a world of wonder with delightful characters who care about each other and the world they live in. It's a world full of animals who bond with people and the hint of magic bound in realism. I soon found myself as protective of the main character as her family while I watched her begin her journey into adulthood. An explanatory and intriguing ending are sending me off to the next book in this series with the sincere hope that Morgan Sheppard will be writing many more in this series because I just found my new book addiction.

I have read a few of Lisa Gardners books and have enjoyed them all but this was something different and equally as good. This is the third story in the Tessa Leoni series but you definitely dont have to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy this and it can be read as a standalone. I would however like to add a caveat to this as I do believe it would be beneficial to read the other books in order to get an insight into Tessa as Lisa touches on this in this book and I did feel I was missing out on something from previous stories but, as this book doesn't focus on Tessa that much, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.

Harry Potter - never will be another series Like this One!
Since the craze of Harry Potter fandom began with the books and streamlined along with the movie franchise, I was crazy about Harry Potter myself. I always pre-order the books as soon as they came out. I even went to a Harry Potter event at Borders in the OC. It was fun! I read all the books in the series and along with the films, I looked forward to the new one as they came out. Sadly, the franchise has ended. Once that book on the play came out, I grabbed that one too. Harry Potter will always be part of my life because I followed it as it came in book and film form. The first one was amazing and the movie was just perfect.

Beauty, Beast, and Belladonna is the 3rd book in the Fairy Tale Fatal series, set in 1867. I love cozies and historical fiction, and this story was a wonderful mix of the two. Variety hall actress Ophelia Flax finds herself at a hunting party in France, pretending to be someone she is not, and trying to figure out how to avoid getting herself married to the Compte de Griffe. When an unexpected guest turns up dead after a string of petty thefts, she must try to find both the thief and the killer to get herself out of more than one entanglement. I absolutely loved the colorful characters, the time period, and the setting in this story. I plan on going back soon to read this series from the start!

This is the final enstallment of MC Beaton's The Travelling Matchmaker series which sees former housekeeper Hannah Pym come into posession of a fortune of £5,000 and decide to fulfil her dream of travelling around the country on the Stagecoach - the 'Flying Machines'. Of course as there has been a through-story across the six books, this has to wrap a few things up, as well as having some romance for the eponymous Yvonne.
This has been a great, really entertaining series - the sort of thing PG Wodehouse would have written had he decided to pen a Regency romance! The baddies are almost comically bad and always get their comeuppance, and the good are suitable rewarded in the romantic stakes!
I loved all six book, although I think I might have to give the penultimate book as my favourite, but probably only because I share a name with the heroine!
