This is another fabulous, fast paced read in one of my favorite series. There are several different avenues that Sarah investigates along the way, and they all come together beautifully for the climax. Meanwhile, we get some development in several series threads and a very funny sub-plot. Sarah continues to grow as a character, and the rest of the cast, both new and returning, are fantastic. The writing makes me feel like I’ve visited Sarah’s corner of the world.
NOTE: I received an ARC of this book.

Can the kindness of a young preacher and the help of the Planted bible group bring Rose out of the darkness and fear in her life? Can she find the strength to survive and allow these good people and God’s love into her life?
This is the last book in the Christian suspense series, Planted Flowers. As with the other books in the Planted series, this is more than just a book of mystery and romance. The underlining story has to do with finding faith, strength, understanding, and support while gaining a deeper relationship with God and his teachings.
Becs (244 KP) rated Select Few in Books

I have not read book one of The Select series but I was a bit confused during the first half of the novel. I'm not sure if it was because I haven't read book 1 or if it was because it seemed like the author didn't really give a great background on the characters or the stories. Whatever it may have been, it really affected the overall story.
The second half of the novel was really good and really has me intrigued in the rest of the series but also at the same time I'm not quite sure whether I'll pick it up or not. There were some overall great scenes and some scenes that I had to push through because I was bored with them.

Deborah (162 KP) rated A Duke's Temptation (Boscastle #10; The Bridal Pleasures #1) in Books
Dec 21, 2018
The basic idea of this book, with the hero as a secret author of a series of gothic-fantasy novels is great and the concept does work well - the acting out of scenes is fun! However, I find that there is something missing here compared to other books I've read by Hunter. I think it's maybe that there isn't a huge feeling of jeopardy? When the villain comes in for a dramatic moment near the end it does seem to be a bit pointless and it's neither completely unexpected and therefore a dramatic shock, or really built up to with the ratcheting of the tension.
So overall it's not a bad book, but I think it could have been better. I had a few '??!?' moments in the reading.
