Lauren Carr does is once again. This book Winter Frost is filler of mystery. It will pull you into the story from the first page to last page. I loved it.
As we know Chris, and his family. We also have Helen and her daughter. We running into and meet Chris supposed dead wife Blair. We also have Murphy join forces with Chris Matheson. I love that the author did this. Bring Murphy and Tristan into the mix. They were more of sub characters but almost like the main characters.
The story was really told well. I can say the narrator did wonderful. I hope to see more mix of the other series like having Chris be brought in with his book club into the other series. I was really surprised and happy when I heard Murphy name when he was helping with Chris escape. We have action from the beginning to the end.
If you have not picked up Lauren Carr books you are missing something. Pick any of her books and you will be hooked. I can not wait to read more. So glad to have two more to read or listen to this time around. Mystery lovers and Crime and detective loves would love these books and series.

Spying, Even Accidentally, Can Be Deadly
When Skip Moore lands a sale for a company looking to upgrade their security system, he thinks he’s finally made the big time. He even gets his best friend, James Lessor, a job on the installation team. Then Skip is offered a couple of extra assignments with big paydays. What could possibly go wrong? A suspicious death for starters. Then there are things that aren’t adding up, and evidence that someone is spying on them. Can the pair figure out what is going on?
This series is a mixed bag for me, and this book was no exception. I appreciate the friendship between Skip and James, but the ideas and James leads them into make me smack my head sometimes. I appreciate some of the humor, but other bits make me cringe. The plot was compelling, but the ending was rushed. And a key scene makes little sense (why are the characters there?). Then there’s also the needless tease in the opening. Yet, I plan to keep going forward with this series. If you pick the book up, keep in mind that it came out in 2009, which explains some of the dated technology. If the premise sounds interesting pick up the series. Otherwise, you can skip them.

I was very lucky to win this book in Goodreads Giveaway, and get it approved on Netgalley. Thanks a lot for that. I didn’t have chance to read any other books in Darby McCormimck’s series, but after reading this one, I will try to get other parts as well. This book is seventh in the series, but it can easily be read without reading the previous parts. I really enjoyed this book and it was very indulging.
The main, participating characters in this book were Dr. Darby McCormic and FBI agent Noel Covington. The whole story was mostly described from these two people’s perspective. The book starts by introducing Karen, the survivor of attack. She is trying to find a serial killer, named Red Ryder, who killed her whole family. Then, author introduces Darby and Cooper. Cooper invites Darby to Montana, when Darby gets there, Cooper is gone. Through particular course of events, Darby gets to meet Noel, and they, together start looking for Cooper and Karen. Both of them have their own reasons to look for these two people, while looking for them, they notice that there are some dodgy things going on in the town. Both characters are very interesting and smart. I am quite a fan of strong women in the books, and I really enjoyed Darby’s personality. She is strong, fearless, smart, and very deterrent.
The plot of this book is well thought through, and interesting to read. It flows quite steady during the investigation, showing some turns and twists, but it really spikes towards the end of the book. I would’ve enjoyed this book more, if there would’ve been more suspense in this novel. Around the middle of the book, I kind of lost my interest, to be honest, there were only few turns and twists, but when the author got to the culmination, it was “wow”. I really didn’t expect those things to happen and I was pleasantly shocked. I am very thankful to the author for bringing up a topic about religion, and what it could do to people, if it is used too much.
The writing style in this book was easy to follow and pleasurable to read. I liked short chapters of this book; it didn’t get you bored, and view from different character’s perspectives made it more interesting for the reader. The events of this book are not very suitable for sensitive people, as there is some blood shedding going on in this novel. I really enjoyed the twist at the end of this book, and it got me curious about what is going to happen to Darby next. So, to conclude, I would recommend this book is you are looking for a nice mystery and thriller, filled with unexpected discoveries of a small town in Montana.

Out of this entire series thus far this is my favorite book. The author has entwined vampiric and Valkyrie mythology to bring us the explosive tale of two amazing warriors who are destined for one another. This read is a powerhouse of action and romance and I had an extremely difficult time putting this one down. I love the direction the author took with this story and I give it five stars!!!

A Revolution in two parts. The first focuses on backwoodsman Seth and his devotion to the cause of liberty, at the expense of his wife and family. The second half of the book is a series of one shot vignettes. Both halves are good, it's difficult to say if the over all story would be better served by focusing on one or the other. I certainly hope Brain Wood returns to weave more patriotic tales.

A well made series
I've seen this mentioned and the book it's based on getting high praise, so I thought I'd check it out. Someone said it was very Agatha Christie like, maybe in terms of the setting and characters. There is normally a murder to be solved but it normally relies on the main characters interaction with people, rather than any clues being unraveled. Still interesting nevertheless.

This is a novelization of the first episode of Angel and a good introduction to the series. I liked the added depth to some scenes and the characters rang true, which probably has to do with it being based off the teleplay. While there might have been some inconsistencies, that might have more to do with changes that occurred after the book was even written. Nevertheless, at 177 pages, it's a fast and easy read.

I absolutely loved this show even though I was sceptical about the cast at first. It was dark, funny and the fight scenes are brutal. I can't wait for the next series.
My only issue was the final episode didn't really push the story on. It was like the writers came up with the cliff hanger and then had to rush to make up the rest of the episode.

this is a well written story which was beautifully written, I just couldn't put it down till id got to the last page and I didn't want it to end. This book can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series. The characters have very intense chemistry between them. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.
