The final book in the series is the kinky but delightful story of the ice hockey team's quietest and restrained player Darren, and the equally secretive Charlene.

This delightful tale demonstrates that each individual loves very differently, that both in the relationship may not wish to unveil all their demons or air their skeletons in their closets, but things will always come out in the end.

Throughout the entire series we have seen these two individuals somewhat in the forefront, with hints of a match made in heaven, but nothing has ever been unveiled until now, and it comes with a non-disclosure agreement... what relationship comes with a NDA??

As with the previous novels, expect comedy, family, bad language and x-rated scenes.

Top quality once again. This series is just excellent. There isn't as much about Baka and Heaven as I was expecting but this is in no way detrimental to the story. Instead, you are taken back to Baka's life from childhood, through him being a vampire right up to the current day. In this was, you learn more about Heaven and who she is and what her gift is.

You also get the chance to catch up on "old" favourites and enjoy as they all intermingle with each other.

Definitely one of the best series I've read in a while. Can't wait for Book 4!

Not his best
I did not think this was as good as the previous novels i have read in the series. Although the story was clever and had lots of different characters it relied to much on your knowledge of the Scottish peerage system and a lot of it went right over my head. There were too many acronyms and codes for various departments and to be honest i got bored with trying to figure out what they were supposed to represent. I would say this is the worst out of the series so far :( It wont put me off though and i will be reading book 8 soon :)

An absolute cracker of a book!!!

I haven't read any of the Erika Foster series before so I was a little worried that I would struggle coming in this late but having read the author's Kate Marshall series, I should have known this wouldn't be an issue. I definitely feel this can be read as a standalone even though I know I will have missed the character development and back story but it really wasn't an issue for me.

With excellent characters, a really good plot and written at a great pace, this is a riveting read and one which I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't put down.

Thank you Raven Street Publishing and NetGalley for enabling me to read Fatal Witness and share my thoughts.

If you love Julia Mills' Dragon Guards series, then you really should read this book. This short story tells you how they came to be, how the first person was merged with the first dragon. This is a romantic story, a tale of such deep and meaningful love between two people that nothing can sunder their connection.

With amazingly life-life characters, full of life, action and adventure; this is a novella to be savoured. The Dragon Guards series is simply outstanding, and that is how I would describe Her Love, Her Dragon: The Saga Begins. Simply Outstanding and a must-read for all dragon lovers! Highly recommended.

Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated Mindhunter - Season 1 in TV

Mindhunter - Season 1
Mindhunter - Season 1
2017 | Crime
A sum total of nothing
Totally disappointed with this series. It's slow and at times seems completely pointless. The premise sounds fantastic - two behavioural psychologists set up a team within the FBI to establish the first idea of serial killers, finding patterns in speech and action from notorious convicts such as Edmund Kemper and Richard Speck, in order to create a pioneering guide into forensic psychology. It is based on the true crime book Mind Hunter: Inside The FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit written by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas.

The series is produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron, so you would hope for something rather spectacular. Alas, it just completely falls short, each episode seems to just waste away into nothingness and the only thread there is, is the irritating behaviour of the main character who seems to be an arrogant narcissist himself and seems to completely unravel by the end of the series.

There's also a mysterious character throughout the series that doesn't come to fruition so you're left literally scratching your head wondering why the hell he was used in the first place. The acting is the only part where I can say, without a doubt, is extraordinary but that's it.

This 10 book series deals with a future state of the human race where humans have evolved into different types of insect, each race taking on the traits of those insects (eg Beetles are hard-working but slow, Spiders are cunning and conniving, Moths are dark and mysterious, Wasps are evil and annoying etc).
This, the first in the series sees Stenwold Maker start to rediscover old fears of the Wasp Empire attempting to invade the peaceful, lowland city states. With nobody in his home city believing him he gathers together a crew of his students and old friend to find out what is happening on the borders of the empire.
This is one of the best books of the series, and a lot of action to come is set up here. I don't know if Tchaikovsky has intended to make this a whopping 10 books at this stage but it certainly felt like the start of something.
The action and fight scenes are well described but not laboured, and enough background to the world is given to understand it, though not in detail (just accept it and move on).
A large number of characters are introduced throughout the series, so it is worth getting to know them from the off.
