"I read a couple of great books this year about human behavior, and this was one of the most interesting and profound. Both Jenn and John Doerr urged me to read it, and I’m glad I did. Everyone knows that a good night’s sleep is important—but what exactly counts as a good night’s sleep? And how do you make one happen? Walker has persuaded me to change my bedtime habits to up my chances. If your New Year’s resolution is to be healthier in 2020, his advice is a good place to start"

Quite timely but notuch action
Contains spoilers, click to show
I feel that the book was written specifically to hit publisher targets as it feels quite short and light on the action of normal Ben Hope books along with all the twists. It seemed a very quick book to get to the ending where they discuss how a pandemic could happen today and not just in the past, it's quite timely having a book about a pandemic with what's going on but not a classic Ben Hope book for sure. Hopefully the next one will be better!

"A living embodiment of Huxley’s Perennial Philosophy, Krishnamurti wrote many books about the need for modern people to wake up. As with Tagore, the horrors of World War II and the existential crisis of the Atomic Age dimmed Krishnamurti’s message, but he enjoyed a resurgence just before his death in 1986. He was sensationally glamorous to Westerners but relentless in confronting people with their lack of inner knowledge. The First and Last Freedom distills his teachings in a forceful, concentrated way. Few have taken such a stark view of the spiritual crisis in modern life."

Yeah, I really really liked this one, and even bought the last book in the trilogy before I finished it because I am that hooked on the story and in need of knowing how it's all going to end. I've found it very addictive and all my other books have gone on the backburner while I finish this series. If you haven't read it yet, you really should. Amazing!

I love all the Neph gang; Kaiden, Blake, Kopano, Marna...not too sure about Ginger yet, though.

Straight onto book 3!

For me this started off a little slow and I didn't really have any feelings regarding Kyle when he died. In fact the first time I cried in this was when Colton was talking about India. Then I bawled like a baby at the end because that was kinda heart-breaking.

They go through a lot of sh*t in this story, as the characters do in New Adult books, but I did like the main characters a lot, they were good people who had had a hard life and deserved a happy ending.

3.5 stars.

I (think--can't quite remember the first) I liked this more than the first. I read books for the romance aspect as well as a good story and this certainly seemed to focus more on the romance. It had an okay plot. Reapers, Gwen needing to find out who it is, showdown, filler.

We found out a little more about some of the main characters in this one and met some new ones too.

Because I think it can get better still, I will be reading the next one soon.
