Fantastic world/concept
Beautiful
True story telling, beautifully written. I was led through the story like a dream, completely immersed. I couldn't put it down. The writing is fantastic, I don't remember the text ever really explaining the concepts of the books (e.g. by characters explaining them) but somehow I found myself truely understanding it.

Plus the concept and fantasy world being is beautifully captivating.

This us how you write LGBTQ+ literature, no tokenism just pure story. I love the romance and felt everything I think the author entailed.

I would highly recommend this to all fantasy lovers - so glad I picked this up randomly in the library. This NEEDS to be talked about more!

Special Assignment truly conveys reliance on God for all things, unlike many "Christian" books that offhandedly mention God (you know what I am talking about?). I think Melissa and Scott's story is a very good mystery, with a hint of romance, and quite a dash of adventure. I give this story a five out of five stars for the unique story plot, the great mystery that kept me guessing, and the characters who were not wishy-washy but stood up for what they believed in. This is my first time reading a book by JL Crosswhite, it was well written, a joy to read and will definitely not be my last book by JL Crosswhite.

Well I loved the first book, I think I gave it five stars. This one, not so much. Unfortunately for it, the romance was based on reincarnation which is not something I enjoy reading about. I think it's because I don't get to really see the relationship grow, more like scenes of them now and then when the feelings are already there and I feel a little cheated.

Nevertheless, I still love the secondary characters and can't wait to read more. Zarek certainly has me intrigued and I can't wait to see who makes him turn all warm and gooey.

Not just yet, though. I appear to have lost interest in paranormal books right now, but soon.

Well, I probably shouldn't have bought this, since resurrection/reincarnation is probably my least favourite theme for books. I skipped pretty much 30% of this book about the half way stage when it went back in time to her meeting Cyrus and a shortened version of their life. I just didn't care by then. I wanted more LOGAN and Cyrus, and instead she couldn't decide if she was Logan or Sevan or a bit of both, or even the other six people she'd been previously, and I just started to lose interest. Add in that Cyrus wasn't even in half the book and I was done.

I won't be continuing the series.
