So its taken me a good three weeks or so to finish this, and initially it was down to me devouring a four part series on my kindle, but then when I finished that I was still struggling to get into it. It could have been going back to Raphael and Elena after two books away from them, it could have been the handful of months gap between one book and then next...I don't honestly know, but it took me quite a while to get into it and then in the last couple of days I just thought it was about time I finished it...so I did.

It was a struggle initially but it got more interesting the more I read.

"It’s almost like these three sisters are a part of my family... I grew up in Sweden (New York, too, and by the time I read this book, was making my own life in London in my late teens). The world around me was not exactly celebrating cultural diversity... this book, and books like “The Color Purple,” “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,” and “Beloved,” took me by the hand, held me, beckoned me into womanhood, aroused a love of my heritage, and love for myself. I ate this book in one serving. It was passed down my by mother... again, I’ve given it to my daughters and waited, impatiently, to talk to them about it as they’ve read."

Since the first time I took S.J. Bolton’s book in my hand I cannot stop admiring her. Read all of her books and gladly continue doing so. They mesmerise me.It is extremely intriguing from the first pages of the book. The way it is written never gets you bored. I loved the different approach to telling the story via letters and news paper articles. It is perfectly blended together with the story of the book. The best thing about this book is that it is easy to read because chapters are short. The characters are very charismatic and interesting personalities. The story has great twists in it. Once you start reading it captivates you because every chapter invites you to find out “what next?”.

I went into Regretting You blind, as I do with most of Colleen's books - I definitely don't regret it. While I confess to being super nosy and curious about the letters and what questions they could have answered, I have read Colleen's explanation, I can say I respect her reasoning. I also want to say that I loved how she explored the relationship between mother and daughter, I don't think that's a typical topic. I loved Jonah and Miller, they were both so great in their own ways! I was afraid of this book being a cliché, but Colleen is too good at her job, because none of it felt like any other storyline I've ever read. What a great way to start out 2020!

This is definitely a series that is better read one after the other--unless you have a really good memory for books.

I read book 2 around Christmas and had forgotten a lot of what had happened previously when I bought this a couple of hours ago and decided to read it straight away.

I remembered the east and west and the two members that ruled each side, that she had belonged to one but seen something that shocked/hurt her and she had run off to the other...and that was about it.

Sci-fi is not one of my favourite genres and because of that I think I'm going to end my reading of this series here at book 3.

Can't wait for another
When I started this book I did see a few similarities from the Grey books and was a bit oh no about it but. As I continued to read I began to fall in love with the new characters and their lives within the storyline. By the last few chapters I couldn't put it down and then it ended and I was left wanting to know more and what happens next alot like the end of each Grey book.
Can't wait to see if there is a next book and to read it

Not as good as the first.
Celeana finally over comes the challenge of the first book and is working. But soon stuff starts to go down as rebals are found in rifthold. This book was more of filler to be but I still enjoyed the book so much. These books talk about hardship and no matter how bad it is we can over come it. This assassin is brilliant and her sass gods above it makes me happy to hear her sassing choal or dorian.
