Whoa and Wow and what the? I'm not sure how to even respond to the rollercoaster ride of this story.

There was so many twists and turns and some big shockers and hard to keep some of it straight. It's quite a bit different than most books I've read and what I usually read and some of it was hard for me to stomach.

I'm torn about it and whether or not I will or rather will be able to handle reading Thunderhead or if I'll just look for the answers to what I want to know and skip what I don't want to know - I guess we'll see.

This had some heavy duty themes and story lines in it that is a bit more on the heavy side than I'm use to.

My brother bought me this for Christmas last year, as he knows I loved his dark materials trilogy as a teenager.I have finally got round to reading it, and I have fallen in love with Phillip Pullmans writing style and character development again. I would be surprised if anyone who reads this does not connect with Malcom, what a fantastic character, you cannot help but feel sympathetic towards him.
In some ways it's similar to his old books, but this one is all about the thrill of the chase and it feels a bit more exciting.
My only criticism is that he had added some adult content, probably to appeal to an older audience, but it doesn't feel right reading it in a Pullman book.
Nevertheless I can't wait for the next two instalments.

It makes you question the preconditions beliefs you hold with out knowing. It rips the glasses off your face and forces you to see a new paradigm. Audio book voice very soothing. (0 more)
Moments where it felt a little too over the top but worth it for the desired effect. Ending not at great a I was expecting but ch 9 thru 18 is just gold. (0 more)
A books from a century ago that still holds weight today
What a fantastic book. It's one of the classics that truly earns its title of being timeless. Written just about a century ago it still has weight today. It forces you to question your ethics and morals and leaves you questioning the world around you. I've read a few classics and this is by far my favorite.

Definitely one to read.
I can honestly say since school I have only read two books, they don't interest me. I am more of a movie guy. This book however I saw on my way to bed and I randomly read the first page. I was hooked.

Amazing story about a young girl who is convinced people from a t.v show is harming her sexually. She is petrified to talk cause spiders have ears, she is at a loss until she meets Torey Hayden an author that writes from her own experiences, she works with all kinds of children. As this mystery novel unfolds it kept me breathless I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was awful but every story has a happy ending, definitely a 10/10!

I was not impressed with this book. It was one of those that I stopped reading multiple times and struggled to pick it back up. It seemed unorganized, and I just couldn't invest in Harry August at all. It really reminded me of @Dark Matter, as well as @How to Stop Time , even though this was published first. Had I read it before those books, I may have liked it a bit more.
It's a really cool concept, of course, living over and over again. Though, I wouldn't particularly want to be part of that club, personally. The plot was fairly predictable, and I was kind of meh about the ending. The book wasn't good, nor was it bad. I'm not sure I'd pick up anything else by this author.
