The fourth - and, to date, final - entry in L.G. Estrella's 'Unconventional Heroes' series, which came across largely (to me, at least) as three or even four books in some, with distinct cuts between each of the various sections as follows:

1) Rescuing a princess from a powerful crime lord
2) Dealing with a rampaging horde of goblins that are about to overrun a dwarf kingdom
3) Recovering the lost Sky City from a different dimension
4) The start of a war, fought over the possession of that Sky City in the first instance.

AS in the previous three entries in the series, this also seems to end with Timmy's, ummm, 'entourage' expanding ever and ever larger - I would not be at all surprised to find who was a secondary character here to become a primary character in further entries.

Of which, I assume (and hope) there will be more ... ?

Today, the lake answers. πŸŒŠπŸ–€

STILL WATERS, DEEP is out in the world today, and I find I have been sitting quietly with that for a little while this morning before saying anything at all. There is something particular about the moment a book leaves you entirely and becomes the reader's. This one has been a story I carried carefully, and I'm glad, now, to set it down at the water's edge and let it go.

Thank you to everyone who preordered, who shared the posts, who stood at the edge of Llyn Du with me this past week and waited. The lake remembers, and so do I.

STILL WATERS, DEEP is available now. If you read it, please do consider leaving a review wherever you buy your books. It means more than I can say. πŸŒŠπŸ–€

There's something about April that feels quietly full of possibility, the kind of month where you half expect something a little unusual to find its way to you, and WHAT A LATTE BOOKS has always felt like an April sort of story to me πŸ“–

Laura's life is already good when the book arrives, and I think that detail mattered to me when I was writing her. It isn't loneliness that makes her vulnerable to the enchantment so much as a sudden, unexpected sense that something she didn't know she wanted might actually exist.

The question the book keeps asking is a gentle one, really. Whether a dream that feels just out of reach is worth reaching for anyway 🌸

Have you ever found yourself unexpectedly moved by a fictional character in a way that stayed with you?

This is a short novella which introduces you to the Amber Druids, an ancient race of both men and women who each have their own intrinsic gifts.

Liana and Traven are two Amber Druids who are both living in New Orleans. Liana is a restauranteur and Traven is a P.I. They meet again when Liana has a meeting with a person that Traven is following. They have known each other for 50 years but each of them thought that nothing would ever happen, for their own reasons. This is a short, passionate, love story that I have enjoyed and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This novella is enough to give you a taste - and leave you wanting more - of the Amber Druids. I want to know more about them!

OK, so I know October is the wrong month to be reading about Christmas but it was next on my list ;)

This is a novella so the storyline is fast-paced and moves along swiftly. Saying that, you will still find all the information you need to be engrossed in the story of how Rafe and Shannon came to be partners and what their histories are.

This is a wonderful story that I would recommend for a rainy evening or when you are curled up in front of a fire, who knows maybe even during the build-up to the season itself! Short, sweet and sexy.
