Nine Ways to Die is a short story by versatile writer, Jordan Elizabeth. The details about Jan's past gradually emerge until Jan, along with the reader, discovers the truth about the strange town and its inhabitants. There are clues everywhere, but like Jan, readers fail to notice them until they come together in a sudden climax.
Through Jan's eyes, readers experience the town as though they are also new inhabitants. Although it is a short story, there is so much on offer: suspense, romance, thrills, and the supernatural. For those familiar with Jordan Elizabeth's work, this is a welcome addition to her vast collection of books. For newbie readers, this is a tempting taste of the author's full potential.

Joe was great--I've noticed that she likes to write books about first loves and meeting them again years later. This must be the 3rd/4th I've read with that sort of storyline--and I liked the beginning where they spent a lot of time together. It was a little dark in places--Joe's brother--but also sweet at times.
I have to say that I think this book dragged a lot in the middle. There was a lot of bits that were irrelevant as far as I'm concerned, and that was probably why it's taken me so long to read.
Then we meet Lukas. He seems pretty normal to start with but the more of him we see the more controlling and demanding he became and I just wanted to scream at Alice. What was she doing?!
The ending was a little vague of names but it had to be Joe that she met. It had to be!

One thing I loved about this one is we get to meet Gabriel and find out about Gwen's past through his eyes. Gwen is growing in leaps and bounds in every way possible but is still some eight months away from her Change. Craze is just as wonderful as possible, along with Kayden, Orion, etc. I thought the whole situation with Thor was handled very well and I loved seeing how Gwen affected his pack.
Another long book to get your teeth into, this provided me with hours of entertainment. I am loving how the story is progressing, how the characters are changing, and am looking forward to seeing what the future brings for our main characters. Saying that, there are now a number of characters I want stories for! Absolutely recommended by me.
