I love the Goodreads app! It is a great place to keep track of the books you have read and want to read in the future. It is also a great place to read reviews and communicate with other people about books and get recommendations.

Great book! Second book about Jake Brigance, the attorney from A Time to Kill. Hope there will be more books around this character.

Ay sup peeps! I'm here in India, ridiculously bored, and I need some good YA novels to read. Also, I don't want boks about "Miss Slightly Popular and Her Crush that Obviously Likes Her but for Some God-Forsaken Reason She Doesn't Know" NO. I need books about LGBTQIA+ characters. Characters who break stereotypes. Characters from different religions. I don't care about their gender. I don't care about the genre (Unless it's mystery. I cannot stand mystery.) Please. I need some good books.

Also, I'm pretty well-read, s give me books you don't think I've heard of. Or John Green. I'm always ready to cry. Always. (HP REFERENCES FTW)

WOW! That was an emotional rollercoaster ride!!!

I love this series and I hope this isn't the end of it...of course I always say that about Holly Martin's books don't I? If you want a lovely series of #ChickLit books...Sandcastle Bay fits the bill nicely!

Any of us without the knowhow might be totally lost if it weren’t for the talented writer-scientists who take the time to pen popular science books about their respective fields.

These are the best in popular science from the past year – books that will enlighten, entertain, terrify and make you feel bad about how little you remember from school.

The Times UK team travels from our ancient past to a robotic future:

I loved this book. Beautifully written story about a young girl who will soon learn unexpected truths about herself. I found myself emotionally caught up in the story and its strong characters. This is one of those books you simply cannot pass by. Kelly Risser is a very talented writer and I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

I hate books that have the plot move forward by way of the main character remembering more and more about things.

I also hate books that do this while also making you feel like you can't trust their memories at the same time.

I don't enjoy books that are predictable knock-offs. Basically, watch a Jason Bourne movie if you want to know what this book is about.

And what is going on with the weird kids who have strange powers? Not explained, not cool.

Love these books, so much more in them than in the series. Don't get me wrong I like the series as well yet with the books I can read them over and over again, which I can't do with the series unless I can afford to buy the DVD's. In the books we find out a lot more about the characters and how they became queen of the dragons, etc.

It was ok but important to read for other books
I'm a big fan of Dale's books but this one is just very slow with a disappointing amount of action that it builds up to. I like how he's thought about the reunification of Korea and it would be nice if that's how it happened (minus the nukes) but there's little action compared to a lot of his books.
However, it introduces a lot of themes and characters that become very important in later books so I definitely recommend reading it if you're going to read more Patrick McLanahan books!
