Ruth Frampton (577 KP) rated Leonardo da Vinci in 30 Seconds in Books
Apr 10, 2018
Bright and colourfully presented, this "in 30 seconds" book about the brilliant man, Leonardo Da Vinci is targeted at middle-grade readers but accessible by older students as well. It is well laid out and leaves information easily found. Illustrations are meaningful and show the works of the great man.
Overall, this is a pleasant read, that adds to information and one I would happily put in my youngster's library.

Good watch
Having seen the documentary on Netflixs I was really looking forward to this. In the age of serial killer series this film was a great add on to show how evil and brutal Mr Bundy was. Zac Efron as Bundy is brilliant throughout the film. Supporting cast also great. Felt the film dragged a little towards the last quarter but still a great watch!

Fantastic
Watched the whole series. Really enjoyed. CGI not brilliant but definitely passable. Tennant is great as a demon, the only part I didn't think flowed was the scene with the plants. The whole series made the demon seemed a little more neutral than the whole putting the fear of everything into the plants. Otherwise fantastic if you want a funny and enjoyable fantasy.

Classic Thriller
I finally got round to seeing this and boy I'm glad I did! It's a brilliant multi layered thriller with twists a plenty that will have you guessing right up until the end. Oh and what an ending! There have been some great thrillers over the years and this offering from '97 is up there with the best of the genre. Check this out!

Stephen King always managed to draw me into his books. But with this one I was totally hooked and it was on my mind long after I finished reading it. The idea of going back in time to potentially change something so huge, it stays with you! I've read this book 3 times now and will undoubtedly read a lot more!
Patrick Williamson (6 KP) rated Stranger Things in TV
Mar 29, 2018 (Updated Mar 29, 2018)
OK but over rated
Reminds of Steven King films from the 80s. Tension, atmosphere and retro feel abounds but is badly let down by pacing of the story. Encompasses that era really well with nice touches but the story of the first series could and should have been a film instead of being stretched out, there's just not enough plot to go around.

Multiple Main Charecters (1 more)
Short Stories
I love the idea of this book.
Enjoyed the idea of of multiple main characters interacting when normally this would be impossible. I love the crossover aspect, and I got to read a bit from authors I haven't experienced yet. a few of them i might want to follow up with and read their books based on it. This is actually brilliant marketing.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2494 KP) rated Evan Can Wait (Constable Evans, #5) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
A documentary on how World War II affected the area leads to a mystery from the past. Then the director disappears and Evan suspects foul play. Is he right? The way the mysteries of the past and present weave together is brilliant. And the characters are great as always.

Short but sweet, naughty and nice, and sooooo funny, Tiffany Reisz has done it again. A brilliant read for an afternoon, and it's really easy to get along with that its as if you already know the characters.
Such a thoughtful wedding pressie from a character from another book ( sorry, i am not giving it away ;-))
I love the Bell hop, I think I might need more of him x
