Dean (6927 KP) rated Free Guy (2021) in Movies
Aug 13, 2021 (Updated Aug 13, 2021)
It's a real mix of Ready Player One meets the The Truman Show. A non playable Character in a game suddenly becomes alive and decides to make his own decisions after encountering a player in the game.
The film is funny and will be especially fun for those who do play video games. Feeling like a real life version of a GTA game. The SFX to recreate so much crazy video game action in real life is great.
Definitely an enjoyable film worth seeing at the cinema and one I can imagine watching multiple times in future.

Charlotte (184 KP) rated Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery #2) in Books
Feb 10, 2022
I thought the first in the series was good but this is brilliant!
It takes one second and three little words to throw Lila Dayne into the abyss that she's been circling for two years.....
Winter Austin has created something that is gripping, emotional and immersive. Hush, My Darling has everything it should have and more to hook you and keep you guessing throughout.
I had my suspicions........and second guessed myself......I started to think I was wrong.......that three other characters, potentially, were the one hunting Lila, that's how well Winter played me with her twisting tapestry of a story. I'm sad to say I doubted someone I really shouldn't have thanks to a few paragraphs......little details that tried to trick me.
I can't wait for the next installment of this cracking series, I need more!!

Merissa (13100 KP) rated Cinderella (2021) in Movies
Oct 10, 2021
It is fun and frantic, with a modern twist to the story that I adored. I thought the comedy aspects were brilliant, and the actors knocked it out of the park.
If you're looking for the movie equivalent of War and Peace then you will be disappointed. However, if you are after a fun, family movie that will make you smile and laugh then I can absolutely recommend it.
This is a Marmite Film. You will either love it or hate it. As for us, we loved it!
