Bethr1986 (305 KP) rated Salt & Blood (Darker Desires #2) in Books

Vivianna Sky and Adrian Graves have got a lot of demons to work through with themselves and others. When there is an unexplained phenomenon feeding off the life force of unborn children and expectant mothers, causing their lives and families to fall apart they must do everything they can to stop any more tragedies from happening.
This is book number 2 of the darker desires series, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far and I'm hoping that there is more to come from V and Adrian's story (please Tesla?)
The writing is so smooth it just flows and if I didn't have responsibilities I would of quite happily read this in a day I just wish I could have l the stories at once to read straight after one another.
The battle scenes are extremely well described and graphic and there are some sexual scenes but they are tastefully written and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at any point reading them
Another brilliant novel from Tesla Storm
A recommended read from me

I really felt for her as the world has changed a lot since she was taken, and she has been through so much that no one should have to deal with. Ash is just a great big lethal, loving teddy bear of a Wraith, determined to look after her and protect her, even though he knows she's more than capable of looking after herself. These two just make the perfect couple.
I also loved the overall story arc and how it moved forward. I think I had an allergic reaction to something when I was reading though, as my eyes started leaking. I think it was about the time John and Olivia were there. You know the part!
Honestly can't wait for Evan's story! A brilliant series that I am thoroughly enjoying.

Merissa (13808 KP) rated Enchanted: Roberta's Story (The Academy #4) in Books
Feb 2, 2022
Although I liked Roberta and Nate together, and can see and understand how Roberta thought he was her soul mate, I didn't quite connect with Nate by himself. If Roberta was indeed his soul mate, then I feel he did a grave injustice to her and himself by not choosing their life together and going the easy route.
For me, Ronin was one of the better characters and I was definitely left wanting more about Roberta's mum.
This was well-paced and full of attention to detail which made it a delight to read. A brilliant addition to the series and definitely recommended by me.

Bethr1986 (305 KP) rated Face the Music (A Series of Falling Stars #2) by M.L. East in Books
Jun 7, 2022
This is the second book in the a series of falling starts set and I thoroughly enjoyed this one as much as the first. I'm also glad it's not over yet as I'm not ready to say goodbye to any of the characters yet.
There are so many emotions and different feelings that are dealt with in this story the confusion that some of the members of the band deal with regarding themselves, sexuality, feelings certainties and hopes. It's a brilliant story to read that centres about relationships, different sexualities and also finding yourself and trying to understand your own self and worth. It sheds a whole different light on what seems to be a simple routine of a world famous K-pop band there is a lot more too it.
You are doing a fantastic job, M.L. East, at bringing very sensitive subjects to light in a calm and understanding manner with just enough humour in there just to make it not so heavy. Keep up the fantastic work well done.
5/5 stars a definite recommendation, please read the series!

The relationship between Kat and Lann was instantly hot, but I loved that Kat was a strong female from the start, and wasn't just going to give in without at least a token resistance! There is plenty of steam within these pages, so be prepared for some heat.
This is only a novella, that just details the 30 days, however, it was absolutely brilliant and I loved every word. It gives a detailed account of the attraction between these two, how they are with each other, pushing boundaries whilst respecting the same.
Can't wait to read the continuation of their story. Highly recommended.
