I hated everything and I mean EVERYTHING about this book. The characters are annoying and not likeable all they do is complain about people making fun of them then turn around and make fun of and judge everyone else. I didn't care about the romance at all. Dimples was a shitty friend Rishi was a terrible brother and the only reason I managed to finish this and not DNF it like I 100% wanted to with in the first 20% was because I needed it for a readathon prompt.

I dunno with this one. His coldness and pill-taking for half the book annoyed me--even if it was for a good cause--but then the second half where Nila wasn't letting him hide anymore...it was kinda nice seeing more of him emotionally, learning more about his past and his closeness to his brother and sister.

But then that ending! Another cliff-hanger? Really? And this time I may have to go straight to book 5...they better be all right or I'm going to scream and swear 'til the air turns blue. :(

I've never read anything by Bernard Cornwell, but I have heard good things about him.

This probably wasn't the best book of his to start with, I didn't read any reviews prior to starting this. Had I, I probably would have opted out.

The novel is centered around Shakespeare's younger brother, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Richard Shakespeare wasn't a really interesting character, and had an insta-love story, in the middle of the mystery of the stolen plays.

Overall, just meh. Maybe I'll attempt to read something else by Cornwell? Maybe not.

OMG! How can she just end her stories with these giant cliff-hangers?!

I think because it didn't quite run along the same lines as the previous books - a brother dying - that it didn't quite have the same attraction for me as the others.

Saying that, though, I have to admit that I love the connection between Jace and Julz/Sammi. It's so passionate and intense!

As for Dornan and everyone else...die already you evil mofos! I dislike you so bleeding much. DIE! *takes a deep, calming breath*

Story
I've never really played GoW before buying this but my brother had played the previous games and used to tell me it was worth buying them.

I spent hours playing this and got really absorbed in the story of him taking his son to scatter his mother's ashes at the tallest mountain in the lands. Of bonding with Atreus as they moved through the lands. The abundance of baddies, the number of friends and allies you make. The pretty world's you wander through.

Really good thought out game.
