Contraband- is a decent action heist thriller. It has a good cast. Its a intresting movie.

The plot: Ex-smuggler Chris Farraday (Mark Wahlberg) gave up his criminal ways long ago. But, he's forced back into the game after his brother-in-law, Andy (Caleb Landry Jones), botches a drug deal for a crime lord (Giovanni Ribisi), leaving Chris to settle the debt. With the help of his best friend (Ben Foster), Chris assembles a team to run to Panama to retrieve a fortune in counterfeit bills. When things go awry, Chris must call on his rusty skills to complete the task before his family pays the price.

Like i said before is good.

The chapter with Luthe and Harry (0 more)
A fast read. Set in the desert there are illusions to Colonization, the main Character Harry, she prefers her nickname to her actual name, is from a place called Home (yes original I know) which resembles if not England than America. She goes to Damar (MiddleEast/ North Africa) to be with her brother after their father dies. and although they never say her age I'd place her closer to 15 than 20. Harry is that awkward wild child that grows into her own. She is a strong female character that is humble and while out of her depth still tries to maintain a type of dignity.

Less of a thriller to me, more of a family drama and a very well written one.

Focusing on the lives of 3 brothers we jump from one to the other backward and forwards in time in what could easily be a jarring experience but instead, Nugent cleverly keeps things clear and interesting. We know one brother is dead by the end but the whole family's story and circumstances are a really dysfunctional ride.

Hard to like any of the brothers but impossible not to want to know what they end up getting themselves into with their complex family dynamics. Would recommend.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC, review is my own opinion
