Tombstone- is a excellent fim. The action, the drama, the suspense, the thrills and the cast are all excellent.
The plot: Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) and his brothers, Morgan (Bill Paxton) and Virgil (Sam Elliott), have left their gunslinger ways behind them to settle down and start a business in the town of Tombstone, Ariz. While they aren't looking to find trouble, trouble soon finds them when they become targets of the ruthless Cowboy gang. Now, together with Wyatt's best friend, Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer), the brothers pick up their guns once more to restore order to a lawless land.
Its a excellent film and highly recordmend.

Eleanor (1463 KP) rated Our Little Cruelties in Books

Less of a thriller to me, more of a family drama and a very well written one.
Focusing on the lives of 3 brothers we jump from one to the other backward and forwards in time in what could easily be a jarring experience but instead, Nugent cleverly keeps things clear and interesting. We know one brother is dead by the end but the whole family's story and circumstances are a really dysfunctional ride.
Hard to like any of the brothers but impossible not to want to know what they end up getting themselves into with their complex family dynamics. Would recommend.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC, review is my own opinion

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Burn After Reading (2008) in Movies

There’s nothing that tickles those pesky brothers more than casting a gaggle of gigantic Hollywood stars - including one’s wife - as total nitwits. It’s a high old tale about unintelligent intelligence. That’s the Coens for you.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005) in Movies

This will probably appeal to fans of the Farrelly brothers - there's an excruciating chest-waxing scene to rival Ben Stiller's zip malfunction in There's Something about Mary - but the film is sweet, too.

Alice (12 KP) rated The Escort in Books

This wasn't a bad read. A good concept, not one I've read before I don't think - twin brothers taking each others place as an Escort. Don't think it's quite for me though. I have a dislike for couples who "fall in love" within days of knowing each other. Other than that, not bad.

One of the brothers dies very quickly which was disappointing but I guess it makes more realistic. Overall I liked it but for me it's a one off film.
