A heartbreaking elegy to Nigeria's lost promise
A beautiful and deeply tragic story exploring a family's secrets based in Nigeria. The novel follows four brothers in a small Nigerian village who are given a violent prophecy which shakes their family to the core.

Like most classic African novels in the Achebe-Ngugi tradition, The Fishermen mixes the traditional English novel form with the oral storytelling tradition, dramatising the conflict between the traditional and the modern. It is rather depressing but poignant.

The world's guilty pleasure
This show is the one that everyone likes, but few people, especially guys, will admit they like. The show centers around half brothers, one is the good guy raised by his mom, and the other guy is a douche bag. They of course get into this sort of rivalry when the good brother joins the school basketball team. It's a fun show, and easy to get into. Check it out!

"Robert Zemeckis’ Used Cars. One of the most underrated and under-appreciated films of all time and my favorite comedy. Kurt Russell is genius in this film and I wish he would return to comedies because his delivery and timing are to die for. Excellent supporting cast including the wonderful Jack Warden who plays two characters — dueling brothers. And kudos to Zemeckis and [co-writer] Bob Gale for writing a biting, social satirical and very un-PC script. “Jesus Palomino!”"

"I got on their train early and I’m just a really big fan of them. What’s cool is they’re a fan of Workaholics. They just did a cameo on Workaholics last week, which is cool to have some of my favorite rock stars to be like, ‘These guys are the shit.’ [People think this is one of their first albums] from all the commercials for the Brothers album, but you’re like, ‘Nah man, they have 10 albums.’ They’re still doing it big."
