Late 70s 'road trip' film, essentially a star vehicle for Burt Reynolds, with Reynolds as 'The Bandit' who is hired/bet to bootleg Coors beer cross-country over state lines (at a time when that was illegal to do so), using his Pontia Firebird TransAm to run interference for the truck driver who actually has that cargo.

Along the way he picks up a runaway bride (Sally Field), and is also relentlessly pursued by Jackie Gleeson's unforgettable Sheriff Buford T. Justice.

Elements reminded me a bit of Wacky Races cartoon, or even that Roger Moore Bond film ('The Man with the Golden Gun', I think) where Bond's car has to jump over an out-of-commission bridge ...

Why oh god why, why does this movie excist, why did this happen, who thought of this oh no Uwe Boll!!! Two words you dont want to hear. Two awful words that are so bad, you cant say it three times. Anyways thanks Uwe Boll for this film. I have a question, well many, but one is why do talented actors sign up for his films, why does anyone sign up to do a film with him? You have actors like Jason Statham, Ron Perlman, Ray Liotta and Burt Reynolds who are all talented actors waisted for this film.

The Plot: As war looms in an idyllic kingdom, a man named Farmer (Jason Statham) begins a heroic quest to find his kidnapped wife (Claire Forlani) and avenge their son, who was murdered by horrible warriors called Krugs. Meanwhile, villainous Gallian (Ray Liotta) sends his evil army to overthrow the rightful king (Burt Reynolds) and steal the throne.

Dont watch this film, dont watch any uwe boll films their are torturious.

Burt wants YOU to have his baby!
When a man decides that he wants a son but no wife, he looks for a surrogate to carry his child. Not as easy as he thought it would be, he finds a woman who is willing to help out. But as they get to know each other, life and love takes them down a road they never expected. For a film made in the early 80's (1981), most of the jokes and story plot is somewhat dated. The excellent cast (Burt Reynolds and Beverly D'Angelo) is a big highlight of the film. For many of those individuals who grew up watching movies in the early 80's and are fans of the cast will be drawn to the film. Parents and Parents-to-be will most likely understand the inside jokes. If your looking for a real good laugh, join Burt and Beverly as they prepare for parenthood in this early 80's jem...Paternity!!!
