Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Stripped (Travesty, #2) in Books

Well, what can I say other than I really enjoyed this. I was definitely thinking it was going to be a possible five star read. And it might have been…but I didn’t cry. I know, stupid reason. But if I cry over characters it means they’ve dug under my skin and made me care about them. Strangely this didn’t, despite me rooting for them from pretty much the first chapter. Nevertheless I really liked it. If I could have, I would probably have read this in one sitting, I was that into it.
I loved the characters, pretty much all of them, apart from Nate’s dad—and maybe his mum too. Oh and a certain friend that I will not name as it might spoilt the story.
If you like contemporary romances with a girl who doesn’t have a filter and a guy who always wants to win then this will be right up your street.
P.S. I haven’t read the first book in this series but I wouldn’t mind doing now!

This light and at times steamy kicked off the start of 2021 with a bang (of bodies hitting the boards, and the clashing of hockey sticks as pucks hit the ice)!
Austen hosts a popular online section for the Dallas Devils, going on "dates" with the players and introducing them to the fans... All went well until it was the turn of jock Dane, an athlete with a reputation for disliking the media and being a fan of the puck bunnies!
What follows for the duo with a great deal of chemistry, is a bumpy road which threatens to impact both of their careers and their relationship!
The first in the Dallas Devils series, and Winters does not disappoint with this contemporary sports romance. It was an easy read with a great deal of depth, well paced and oozing chemistry.
The story progression worked well with Winters' writing style, with added drama from a historical back story which is explained in further books, and a great antagonist.
Hoping book 2 is just as interesting!

Ari Augustine (10 KP) rated Tiffany Sly Lives Here Now in Books

This book is about a 16 year old girl whose life is uprooted when she must move in with the father she has never known. To make matters worse, a second man claims to be her father and gives her 7 days to take a DNA test. Tiffany and her father's family are from two different worlds, but what I loved is how they're portrayed - how not a single character is who you thought they were at the beginning of the book.
If you want a book that will give you so many feels with a character who is unbelievably relatable, then this is the book for you. If you want a book that will make you cry and laugh, this book is for you. If you like a cast of complex characters, then you'll love Tiffany Sly Lives Here Now.
I read it in about a day, which is my way of saying this book was amazing!
