MoMoBookDiary (20 KP) rated Before The Devil Knows You're Dead in Books

WOW…. This book is way above a 5star read!
I have to say I really enjoyed Owen Mullen’s first two books featuring PI Charlie Cameron – Games People Play and Old Friends and New Enemies – and have been recommending them both to everyone I speak to. This third novel, Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead is even better than the first two!
It may be that once we reach book three we know the characters who feature in all three books. I would love to meet Charlie Cameron!
I felt this book moved at a faster pace than the last which made it impossible to put down. I switched between the paperback and the kindle versions depending on where and when I was reading.
It was gripping and I look forward to Owen Mullen’s next release!

Queen alien

Ripley is back for this time she brings an army with her just as good as the orignal with james cameron dierecting the sequel this time giving us queen alien weaver is brillant as ripley so is the rest of the cast get away from u bitch classic line best of the sequels
This book is okay, I had a lot of fun reading it. For the concept it is very fun at times but also the main character, Cameron, is such a weird person. I get with her schooling situation she would be different but some of the things she does are weird. Also she turns into one of THEM girls :L

Ok, I get that it's a teen classic.
I get that it's one of John Hughes 1980s movies.
I get that it was Matthew Broderick's break-out role, and that the 4th-wall breaking nature of the movie helped lay the groundwork for 'Deadpool' all those years later.
I DON'T get the appeal of the movie: for me, this was forgettable, with the lead character an annoying jerk (who, admittedly, does have one good line about how life is pretty short) only out for himself, and who pulls his girlfriend and his best friend Cameron along for no reason other than to show off to - he doesn't even have the gumption to check how Cameron is at the tail end of the movie.
I've heard about people saying how it is, essentially, a wish-fulfilment movie. My only wish is that I hadn't wasted my time watching it.

Cameron MacElvee hits all the feels with this poignant book. The emotions evoked through the two main characters are genuine. The issues that are addressed are also very important because they are what drive the two women and develop their characters. This is definately not a light beach read but a deep, well thought out novel that will hopefully leave you with lots to think about. Well worth the emotional rollercoaster.

While this movie does make me laugh, and I've watched it a bit, I can't really call this a stand out, great movie.
Justin Timberlake is completely whack-a-doo in this movie. Some of his lines are flat out hilarious.
I routinely want to use Cameron Diaz's line: 'Keep saying sh** like that, and you're going to get punched.' at work.
It's raunchy, and mostly funny. But, it's nothing new.

An action packed Sci-Fi blockbuster
Another SFX master piece from James Cameron who also did @Avatar (2009) Thankfully the film isn't entirely about the amazing visuals. The story is good and the action scenes are very good. Maybe not the most original plot but the fun and excitement it brings more than makes up for it. Definitely one to catch on the big screen.
