Amy Norman (1048 KP) rated Cosmic Sin (2021) in Movies

In all honesty I'll admit I didn't really 'watch' this film, it was on in the background whilst I played some games.
*But* when I stick films on in the background they normally grab my attention a few times, and I can keep up with the plot easily enough.
I can say I kept up with the plot of this one, but from what I can tell the dialogue wasn't great, as there was nothing that particularly stood out, as it was a bit of the over tired tropes, and predictable from the outset.
There were a couple of good looking set pieces and action sequences, and the rest didn't look terrible.
If you are looking for an easy to watch sci-fi action film, that's not too heavy on plot, character development, or being overly sciencey, then this could be for you!

Holy hell. I made myself read this slowly because I knew how much it would hurt. I was not disappointed. Cassandra Clare did an outstanding job in tearing my heart to shreads. Thank you for the pain. I can proudly say that I cried a lot because of this book. This was a beautiful end to a magnificent series. I am glad to have been a part of Clary and her friends' journeys. Thank you again, Cassandra Clare, for giving us readers such an amazing world to disappear into.

As for me personally, after mentally and emotionally draining myself from 19 straight hours of reading to complete this book, I can say it was well worth it.

This really didn't grasp me and I couldn't bring myself to carry on reading. I feel like the concept could have been good but I just couldn't get into the story. I don't know if it was the way it was written or the storytelling flow, I feel bad but I just couldn't.
It's taken me a long time to get here, before I would just power through a book regardless, I'm glad that I've reached a place where I can now say "this isn't doing it for me, and there's so much more out there to read"
